The odds of a person who would turn in a gun at a gun buyback actually using a gun to commit a crime are very, very close to absolute zero.

“To reduce the chances of gun violence” ah yes, the criminals definitely saw that and were like “aww maan, we gotta go turn in our illegal guns”

When the officer mentioned the Uzi was still in the box, every fiber of my soul rang out with immediate grief and sorrow.

My son is a war history buff and really wants a SKS. Sad to think someone had one, didn't know what it was, and gave it away to be destroyed.

I rescued a WWI Remington Model 10 from a local buyback about a year ago for $150 cash. It's now my favorite shotgun, holds its own well in trap shooting despite being a riot gun.

I want more politicians like you. This takes balls and most Republicans don't have any.

Its truly heartbreaking to think of all the historical guns that are destroyed by these.

I'm just getting into guns and it hurt my heart knowing that some old collectible and also just some cool guns are going to be destroyed willingly by all parties.

I bought an old Marlin Glenfield model 30/30 at a “buyback” in Atlanta a few years ago. $100….I always wanted an old Glenfield model and could not believe my luck. I still have it today and have taken a couple of deer with it. It’s a great old rifle.

I had heard a story about a gun buyback. Old lady came up with a gun her husband had gotten in WW2. She gets up to the head of the line. Luckily for her the cop that was there to look the guns over was well versed in firearms. Her husband had brought home a STG44. It sat in the back of a closet since he got back from the war. She was going to trade it in for a 100 dollar gift card to some grocery store. The cop pulled her aside and told her that that gun was worth a hell of a lot more than what she was going to get from the buy back. I am pretty sure he got her in touch with the right people and she sold it to them.
