In this installment of oral histories for NCPTT's Documentation of Slave Cabin and Tenant Farming Houses Project, we visited Reconstruction Era National Historical Park in Beaufort, South Carolina. In part 4 of this series, Park Ranger Chris Barr introduces us to the topic of the Harriet Tubman and her impact in the Beaufort, South Carolina area. We learn of her low profile time spent in the county and some things we know her to do - such as becoming a nurse, her efforts in liberation, and the role she played working with the military as an asset.

This is part 4 of a 4 part series. The corresponding videos can be found on our page or in the "Slave Cabin and Tenant Farmer Documentation Project" playlist!
