I'm barely discovering Dallas in 2020 and OMG I'm LOVING IT!!
  • There's footage filmed of people watching this for the first time and people's reactions were incredible...screaming in disbelief and joy. This is television history right here...one of the biggest chockers of all time...Bobby in the shower. Of course for younger people they cannot fathom what the fuss is about, but this was MAJOR stuff. The fact that we are commenting and talking about it almost 40 years later is proof enough.

I wish this dream wouldn't have affected Ray and Donna. Their story with the child was so good.

I loved and love Anjelica. This style...High-Class-Fashion. Exaggerated but great. Her assistant Grace was also a bombshell. - "Dreamgirls". ;)

Loved Season 9. Wish at the end of the season Pam would get a call that maybe Bobby woke up from a coma and they would continue wirh the story lines that they ended the season with.

Hi form Germany: i love Season 9 and Angelica Nero! For me one of the best seasons of Dallas!
  • I miss 'Dallas'. It was my show back in the day. Of course I have forgotten a lot of what happened in the last few seasons.

Is it possible 2020 could have been one of Pam's bad dreams?

A lot of very interesting story lines died in that shower... such a shame.. "Dallas" was never the same after this..
  • The best final minute of a season-finale...ever. On any show. Without question.
  • When DALLAS jumped the shark. I'm still waiting for someone to come out of my shower n tell me the last 5 yrs were but a dream.

I loved the character Angelic Nero portrayed so beautifully by the lovely actress Barbara Carrera. So elegant and classy! She was suppose to be more exzodic and non Texas like. Had Patrick Duffy not returned to Dallas I wonder if the show would have gone on as long as it did?

Sue-Ellens parachute suit is a hoot
  • I have to tell my history with Dallas, and it stems from a video game lol. I got Goldeneye 007 for my Nintendo 64 when I was 9 in 1997. I got into the movie series, and Never Say Never Again was my favorite. In Nov 1998 when I was 10, I stumbled through the channels and found Barbara Carrera. I then saw her eating dinner with Larry Hagman that I recognized from I Dream of Jeannie reruns. I began to watch each night and became more hooked. After my gram moved to Florida near us in Jan 1999, I learned she was a fan during the original run. I stayed at her townhouse each Friday 1999 to late 2000 before her cancer got too much, and I watched the reruns with her. I viewed at my folks home otherwise. I do remember watching when JR threw Pierce off the balcony, and Sue Ellen shot him with my gramma. I think my folks came through the door at that point after having eaten out. I am one that remembers the little details.

As much as I loved the spectacular Dream Season and how it pains me to see its emotional trials & tribulations wiped away, Dallas made the right choice to bring Bobby back and how he returned—for the enduring longevity of the show. Remember: ratings decline happened for ALL prime time soaps after the pinnacle 1983-1985 era, regardless what the storylines were. Dallas made the right choice.
