  • The worst part about playing Titanfall 2 is that literally no other multiplayer shooter is as good as it.
  • Fun Fact: Flame core can skip doomed state on titans that have less than two bars of health left

I've used ion's tripwire defensively and offensively. Defensively, it can slow the enemy in a pinch, either luring players away from you (works well in close quarters) or do good damage to titans that are blindly chasing you. On the offensive side, you can just chuck it at a titan provided you do it right. You can throw it just after the sheild disappears for example.
  • @somentity
I‘m a Scorch Main and I love sniping (obviously also including ejecting pilots)! I would trust him (and his voice) with everything!
  • @EmmetTheSeal
My apologies when it came to ion, I was referring to ion as him not her, I think I got confused when I was reading the script.
  • Legion will always be my favorite. He’s a giant dude with a minigun. What’s not to love about that? Northstar is a close second for me.
  • @runecowman
I mostly play Frontier Defense and I adore how powerful Scorch feels when I'm annihilating everything with my fire

I will say, really really skilled Scorch mains are absolutely terrifying because they will never put themselves in positions where they can’t corner an enemy. Many times early-career scorches get blasted because they run straight at an enemy over open ground….but the scariest Scorch mains are the one who have no issue taking their time to get into position to spring a trap with massive stacking damage. I have close to 250 hours on Scorch ALONE because the area control is just my kind of playstyle….and I will tell you now as long as I think ahead and plan my attack, I have no issue facing down 2-to-1 or 3-to-1 odds if I can get myself into an advantageous position. I’ve logged huge chunks of time with each titan….but when the cards are down and I need to win, I break out the big papa because I can control the flow of the engagement
  • Northstar's cluster can be used reliably as a main form of defense for pilots, same for twin tethers, but with titans. hover can be used to peak over buildings when at a distance and whittle down enemy titans health. You can also, with the piercing shot kit, SHOOT THROUGH TEAMMATES AND USE THEM AS A SHIELD. (example combat scenario: Northstar with piercing shot kit behind friendly legion with an enemy monarch in front in a non-flankable corridor. since northstar < legion in health, and northstar > legion in quick bursts of damage, northstar is a bigger priority. use the tankier titan as a shield and do damage to the monarch in a sort of defensive-offensive position. Flight core is used best at mid-long range while alternating ADS for accuracy, and hip-fire for damage. when a titan is close, you can either dash away a lot, or punch them. my fav strategy is to use the threat optics kit and electric smoke so YOU can see THEM and not vice-versa or both. also if you are being rodeoed and don't have e-smoke, shoot a cluster at the ground, back up into it, and look straight up. or at a wall, back up into it and look the opposite direction of where the wall is. or if you are below a ceiling you can shoot it at the ceiling and look down. all of these WILL kill the pilot unless they leave. Against Ion: Keep distance and cover and try to critical hit as much as possible, mind the vortex shield. when she is using core, stay behind long cover to take minimal damage until the core ends. Against Scorch: Keep distance as to not let him obliterate you with thermal shield (especially if he has inferno shield) or gas traps. hover when he is using core and if you can, use flight core to counter his failed core and keep away from his T-203 TL rounds which take a while to hit their target, take advantage of this. Against Ronin: Make him use up his arc wave, dashes, and leadwall rounds so he has to reload, use cluster missile on the ground to make him use up phase dash and trap him in tethers so he can't escape, get a good full charge shot on the nose and dash away when hover ends. Juke him into chasing you around the map to get to your ally titans (if you are playing teams) and have your friend distract the ronin while you take cover and shoot him until he is doomed. don't bother with the termination or goose and just melee the pilot when he ejects and hits the ground. Against Northstar: Keep in mind that she has everything you have, and cover and velocity is essential. keep distance and get as many traps off as you can. if you get her in the traps, don't let her have the time to charge and shoot you back, go to cover and crouch behind it and tease her by un-crouching and crouching so she doesn't know when you are going to un-crouch and shoot. keep away from the clusters and traps, mind your surroundings, and most importantly RUN THE FUCK AWAY FROM FLIGHT CORE (that shit be scary man) Against Tone: Flank and shoot, surprise her by staying in the edge of a corridor with full charge, and keep in mind that particle wall is easy to destroy in 1 shot with full charge, and that it has a really fast cooldown. Against Legion: Catch him off-guard and shoot his leg when gun shield is up, dash away when power shot is vibe-checking, and beware of long range mode and smart core. Against Monarch: RUN THE FUCK AWAY AND HOPE THAT SHE DOESN'T FIND YOU Basically, keep cover and distance with high-speed, mind your surroundings, and be creative with everything you do, as there is a lot of possibilities of what you can do and how you can use and/or combine it, where the enemy anticipates you, or where a strategy fails. but one point remains the same, act like you're playing super smash bros with combos of abilities pretty much. this took WAY too long to type but i hope i helped someone out with northstar.
  • This has been one of the Best tier lists for titans I have seen. I can relate to where you put each of them and it seems pretty accurate for skill level, Good vid.
  • I've played TTF2 for a while and while I agree with everything, I'd still put Ronin as S. He isn't hated for no reason, a good Ronin working in conjunction with another Titan can disintegrate a team of three Titans. I'd put his job as to handle solo Titans/northstars and to support the team by smoking enemies and taking fire to himself so the team can dish out damage (it sounds bad being the tank but trust me, it works). Occasionally you can get some stupendous kills but that mostly depends on your Sword core, not very consistent. Still, he's the only Titan who can evade a rodeo with no smoke and can block a nuke blast. He's a menace.
  • Scorch always felt like a good fit for me, area denial for sure and still being able to hit tones and other long range Titans, plus gas traps and thermal wall?? So good
  • Gotta disagree with a couple chief. In my opinion, ion is A because of her shear utility. Long range option laser, short range option tripwire. And some kits can majorly help with energy reserves. Monarch is only an A for me since she can become an S tier but until you get the first core, your the weakest titan on the field. The energy beam is decent but isn't the best defensive tool, and the missiles don't do much damage and like to swirl off and hit other things, making them less reliable as damage. If she gets to the 2nd and third core easy S but when she first drops she's a B. Averaging out to an A
  • I never get over how much I love scorch, incendiary traps + firewall and then flame core while dashing is an insane combo
  • @danktoast8004
I think the best thing about titanfall is that most of the guns are generally fair. In other words, you could easily just pick which ones looks cool, or which one you like, and will do just fine.
  • @Ele441
This was a great video to listen to podcast style, keep up the great work I loved it
  • @Aj-B44
Just download the game again yesterday after not playing it in like 2 years and I’m enjoying it so much💯 Thx for the teir list btw
  • If we get a titanfall 3, can they pls have you do a showcase of the titans that are going to be in the game? I found your descriptions and the tone that you used awesome. When they needed an aggressive tone to describe how dangerous the titan can be, you delivered. Badass video!!
  • Ah yes, my favorite thing in Titanfall 2, titan vs titan against 5 enemy monarchs, all using energy thief. Also Scorch can just kill legion with his shield by just running at him, most just give up
