3:05 From what I remember from reading somewhere, Ishinomori's initial idea for creating Sentai was just "what if there were multiple Riders as a team"

the funniest part about the “you are not supposed to know about Trinity” thing is that there’s a very real possibility the Twitter user was talking about Agito Trinity, not Zi-O Trinity

I still can’t believe Toei thought it would be okay to just bullshit a bunch of scenes for Decade’s “movie” trailer and then figure out the actual story later. That whole production really became messy after the head writer left

That last stage was pretty rough. It’s so disheartening to see so many industries are filled with stories like these. I’m glad they’re finally coming to light, but it’s still sad to think that some of the people involved with making the media we enjoy are despicable pieces of human trash.

The mirror break scared the shit out of me.
  • Always and forever, I know at least these two things will have the fandom go to war over them: 1) OOO's final form 2) Zi-O's pronunciation
  • @MauM.
24:34: But in the end these rumors were confirmed to be true... kinda. After all, Saber's Final Form is a suit full of stars and Blades Final Form has a mane made of fur.

Behind the Scenes Video trivia: - Originally gonna come out in November but life just didn’t give me the time to put it together - Ferbus edited pretty much everything so shout out to him - Liz also wrote a lot, specifically the second half - Two levels were cut entirely - Level 10 had about 6 entries but I didn’t feel comfortable with them so I spliced together what I could as one big entry - There were other cut entries that I figured weren’t significant enough to talk about - Reddit and my comments suggested a lot that weren’t already on here, so thank you for those - The Super-1 entry is planned for its own video HUGE THANKS TO LIZ AND FERBUS, THIS COULDN’T HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE WITHOUT THEM

I gotta say, this is one of the most well-constructed Toku icebergs I've seen so far. I found a few more specific points about behind-the-scenes incidents on other KR icebergs and I feel that you handled those subjects in a tasteful manner. The industry behind Kamen Rider and even other Tokusatsu shows has a lot of problems but addressing them might prevent these kinds of incidents in the future and bring some positive change to the industry behind these properties we've come to love. Glad to see this iceberg video finally complete and I'd definitely want to see one of those stageshows at least once in my life.

The sudden ryukiroll actually scared the shit outta me lol

That last part really makes me hope that Toei can be changed for the better. it can be a head-turner when a company that makes these shows has these messed up behind-the-scene stories, here's hoping for better things and that more people speak out.
  • Wow, even as a long time rider fan I never really got deep into stuff outside of the shows, and although some of this is.. weird to say the least, it is still fun to know But I feel like there’s 1 thing missing from this iceberg: the episode 35 phenomenon Basically every rider series, episode 35 is when all hell hits the fan and some absolutely crazy story event happens, I don’t think lots of people see the matching episode numbers though Edit: also adding to the “Ryuki 9-11” lineup, the earthquake that shaped Fourze
  • If I could watch a stage show? Absolutely, I’d love every second of it

In Malaysia, before the Internet, most people would know Kamen Rider thanks to the Malay dubs. My most notable memory being 555 and Kiva and it's still ongoing today with dubs of Build and I think Zero-One. Heck, in stores, they even sell DX toys with a huge sticker saying you can catch them on [insert channel name] But in some local channels, some shows would have unfortunate timing as they would be interrupted for the evening prayers. The worst part is that it would often happen in the middle of the climatic fight. Then, I know there's at least an English dub of Wizard in Singapore, done probably by locals. That's all, just one episode I stumbled upon during vacation.

Fun Fact from the spanish side of KR fandom!: in the las year we got A LOT of rider series with official subs and dubs, on Amazon Prime we got Kamen Rider Zi-O and Amazons and we got also on other platform KR Kuuga, Agito, Ryuki and Faiz with official latin america spanish dubs
  • @xquisid
30:52 Okay, that's unexpected. Also, you forgot to mention when they introduced Ex-Aid toy lines for the first time, Genm had a different kind of helmet shape in level 3 form.
  • an additional fun fact for you guys: until Amazons, Black and RX are the only seasons broadcasted in brazil. they were known as Black Kamen Rider and Black Kamen Rider RX in the show and black man in toys that were sold at the time. (yup, black man. they tried to shorten the title for the toyline. most brazilians didn't know english at the time.) and also, the protagonist's name, Koutaro Minami, was changed to Isamu Minami, to be easier to say for a brazilian, while still sounding japanese.

Level 10 was too short, and some important facts were skipped. However, the video overall is great and very watchable. Thanks for the video, and keep up the good work!!
  • 14:22 The Ryuki meme only works if glass is being shattered in the video. It significantly loses its humor if it's just put in randomly, as the glass shattering is startling and could be considered a jumpscare by some.

Only thing missing I can think of are the Banpresto crossover games, such as Hero Senki: Project Olympus and Lost Heroes. Given their VERY obscure nature, I'd put them around Level 5, seperate from the other Kamen Rider games.
