First of all I love that you are sharing the word of God. But I think that Jeremiah 1:8 can be a little misleading without some context. God is speaking directly to Jeremiah that he is going to protect him and keep him safe. Us as christian will face persecution and in some countries we are facing death. But God is with us through all of it. Thank you for sharing the word.
