  • You should do a video on South Africa’s submission to the ICJ on Israeli Genocide. What do you think of their 84 page report? Do they have a legal and scholarly case for Genocide? Strange the economist is ignoring this!

Could Djibouti lose a lot of money and influence because of this deal?
  • @abacusabandon
The fact you omit Djibouti from the analysis is baffling

Have you played Settlers of Catan? Ports are pretty great
  • @MubYus

Somalia is backed by the US, Egypt, Turkey, EU, Eritrea, Sudan & South Sudan. Who does Ethiopia have? UAE! Ethiopia is a regional pariah. But I want to thank the fool in Addis Ababa. Thank you for uniting us.
  • @somaliyani
The economist should know better that what used to be Somaliland is now gone due to 3 regions breaking away from Somaliland and becoming part of the Federal government of Somalia.
  • Am from Somaliland region and I don’t except the deal we are part of somalia ❤❤❤and the president is Hassan sheikh mahamud
  • @Rahiim7
I belong to where the port is located, and we will never allow that so called deal, we are somalians 🇸🇴 and no one can do that, and who ever dreaming about giving our territory to another country is a treason, he will also face the justice one day.

"After you pay me a couple of "C" notes for taking it in the rear port, you have to call me your girlfriend."

Win win solution. May be a solution for the longstanding security problem in the region.
  • You've ignored the former French Somaliland, today the independent nation of Djibouti
  • @GeediGeediMuse
North Somalia has 4 states. 1/4 wants secretion while the 3 which conclude 99% of the land and 99% of the population refused to secede. That makes Somalia 🇸🇴 one nation

No one has the power to stop this win-win deal between the two countries the Republic of Somaliland and the federal Republic of Ethiopia.
