Dulcetto 1920s Gramophone in Action

Published 2020-08-12
I think this dates from the late 1920s, it is powered by a Garrard NO 12 spring motor. It has been in the family of a friend since new. It wasn't very happy about playing records at first but after a service it sounds very lively! I'm also amazed that it can even play this 78 of the Ted Heath Band playing Raunchy as I accidentally broke the record in half by foolishly trying to clean it!

High tech tone controls and volume I notice, it's amazing how much sound energy can be captured from the moving needle, looks like it must of been quite a top end gramophone in its day
  • Learn to play that on the guitar and you might get invited to join the Beatles.
