Child Protection Conferences

I just joined the referral and assessment team. I did not have a supportive manager and felt that I was left to make my own decisions. I attended child protection conference no knowing about signs of safety or anything. I later found out that an ICPC was if the child was at risk of significant harm and the family are difficult to work with, however this family was not difficult, in fact very grateful for our involvement and I soon realised the ICPC was called prematurely.
