Camping in heavy rain. The rainy season has arrived, we went to the camping location when the weather was cloudy. It rained while we were on our way to the shelter. We struggled to set up the tarp in the middle of a very heavy rainstorm. The rain was so heavy that it was difficult for us to set up the tarp because water pooled on the tarp. However, we managed to build the tent safely. We immediately made a ditch around the tent so that water would not enter our shelter. We enjoyed our not solo camping in heavy rain.

This is one of the only channels that actually shows real heavy rain. Most of the other camping channels show nothing but light drops with fake rain sound effects.

Here’s a thought: once it starts raining, move your campground OUT OF THE DRAINAGE POND.

Bad planning - didn't think about water accumulation and natural extraction path before choosing the campsite that should have been more towards higher ground.

Who decides these spots?????? If you would have moved the Tent ⛺️ and Tarp 6-10ft back, then it wouldn’t be an issue of having to create drainage👀 Love The Video 💗 But it’s simple decisions that makes life so much easier!

Should have put up a ridge line first, before just letting your tarp lay on the ground & get wet , ridge lines work best for rainy situations & would have worked together to find higher ground instead of being in a soupy situation . Big old fail .
