I will NEVER understand the hate for this album. This album is pure genius. Pure genius.
  • I saw a comment that said “My parents used to sing this song.” My parents used to sing this song all the time too. They’d even freestyle their own lyrics off the dome. Talent 🔥
  • only Kendrick can make you feel like you're literally in his living room witnessing an awkward ass argument 😂forget a Grammy he might need an Oscar for this one! The music video for this would be legendary it HAS to happen 🙏🏾

Kendrick describes the ups and downs of a sometimes toxic relationship so beautifully, it balances out taylour Paige's smokey lyrics so well. It's reminiscing of every late night argument couple's have, where you fight till dawn n still walk the kids to school but the neighbors know nobody slept.

Taylour Page gave one of the best performance of the year and it wasn’t even on a movie or show, it was just her voice. That’s talent.

The fact that Kendrick wanted an actress instead of a singer shows that this isn't a song isn't a song its a story that is shown to the audience.

taylor paige's performance is one of the best i've ever heard on a song

Hearing this shit for the first time is something you can't get back.
  • @sakooga
Taylor's voice is so full of emotion. It's incredible.

I don't know why more people aren't talking about Taylour's performance on this. For someone who isn't a musician, she KILLED this. Killed it.

Taylour’s delivery is so full of emotion, I specifically like 1:56 and 2:13. There’s other great moments as well but I think about these two moments the most.
  • The conversational/argumentative lyrics definitely remind me of Eminem and Dr. Dre’s track “Guilty Conscience”. I love when artists get creative with their storytelling, this is such a dope way to a convey a message, it feels like I’m literally sitting there listening to them argue as if I’m their child, all you can do is sit there and wait for the storm to pass.

Wow. 7 months already passed since I last listened to this whole album, past midnight, chilling by myself. A lot has happened since then. Time flies.
  • This song is a roller-coaster of emotions and power that speaks volumes.
