Last time I talked about the Lion King, we were seeing just how big the body count was for this beloved Disney movie and sayong Scar was the rightful king. WEll, we are leaning into that even HARDER this time! Today, I want to talk about the sibling rivalry to end all sibling rivalries - Scar and Mufasa. Theorists, lions are a very, VERY interesting animal. I think that Scar ATE Mufasa after the stampede. You'll have to watch to find out WHY!

11:41 So the entire scene was meant to give those who knew all this a heart attack that Rafiki was dead, when, prior to that, he basically held Simba up for the kingdom and then screwed off somewhere. And lived through the ordeal, even being able to help Simba, Nala, Timon and Pumba.

Well. Scar was confused when Simba came back, thinking it was Mufasa. Had he eaten Mufasa, he wouldn't have even thought that it was him.

How Pride Rock ended up so desolate and wasteland-ish is because you have (in movie presentation) two massive groups of predators hunting in the same turf. Overtaxing of the prey animals tips the scales, and yes, when Scar becomes Lion Tartar is when things start to go right, because Simba tells the Hyenas to beat it, thus lowering the number of Predator groups back down to 1. That's how I see it anyway.

I've heard that little scavengers depend on the hyenas, needing them to break up the big bones in a carcass. Kind of nice to think of a cooperative community of scavengers working together.
