Would you get the Nismo over the M2 or does the lower price and optional manual mean it’s BMW for the win? Let us know in the comments!
  • Look it up that BMW is actually putting 450 hp to the wheels, like all M cars it’s grossly underrated. This race was over before it started, is anyone surprised?
  • @dnice362
Insane that’s this cars are the same price.
  • @dftns19
I don't think there was a whole lot of mystery to what we were gonna see here
  • @iwasadeum
The fact that the Z is nearly $70K is criminal with this level of performance. This car should start at around Mustang GT money ($40K).
  • @billshoe22191
The price on the new Z is hilarious. $68k for that Nismo is straight up insulting
  • @MikeBaloga
I don't think anyone should be surprised with this outcome.....

3.6 sec 0 to 60 and 11.6 sec quarter!! M2 is a beast and that S58 has so much more potential.
  • @augustortiz
More power, shorter gearing, better gearbox. The Z had its work cut out before it even began.
  • @andrebrooks9719
The z is about 10-15 grand over priced for a warmed up half baked 80% refresh

The Nismo Z is growing on me and I say this as a twin turbo 370Z owner. On the positive side, power won't be a problem. You can take it to your local GT-R tuner and they'll make it as fast as you need.
  • @Johnny_Ocha
The Z never ceases to disappoint... This is coming from a Nissan fan too.
  • @Lawnyyy-
BMW sandbags their numbers, the new M2 actually makes 450 WHP 👀👀 that thing is fast
  • @mattyoz0
The interior in the Z looks like a 90s hynundai in quality.

I'm a long time Nissan fan boy...currently have my 7th Z (a 2014 6MT 370Z Roadster Sport that I ADORE), a 6MT Juke Nismo for the wife's daily (>117k on the clock and still gets ~30mpg!), a 6MT Sentra Nismo for my daily and a 2016 FBO GT-R (that I'd LOVE to get on this show!!!) and even >I< know, before even watching, that this is absolutely, 100% going to be a blowout...they say the Z is "new", but it's not. The underpinnings have been around for about a decade and a half at this point. The bimmer may as well be from a different planet. EDIT: Yup. Went exactly as expected. lol

As soon as I saw the difference in accelerration my first thought was, "no way there's only a 50hp difference between these 2!". 100 hp is more believeable. Interestingly enough the M2 only managed a 2:56.9 in Car and Driver's lightning track and the Z managed a 2:56.2. Close enough the driver/conditions seem to be the biggest factors. As a die hard Z fan, I still prefer the Z, but hard to suggest getting one over the M2 at the same price 😢
