This show was a huge influence on me! I watched it at 9am on weekdays over summer vacation back in the day.

This show deserves its flowers. It's my hope to create something that honors this series
  • Man, coming home from high school, tuning in to Toonami, childhood memories!

This was absolutely my gateway anime. It introduced me to so much, not just anime itself but online fandom. I wrote my first ever fan fic for Ronin Warriors when I was 10 or 11 years old (it was a 100% innocent monster of the week type story lol) back around 1997. Ronin Warriors has remained as a sort of safe space for me over 20 years later, a show and fandom I can slip back into when I'm feeling down. I have loved them since I was in elementary school and I'm 35 years old now. What's funny too was when I first was dating my now husband I told him about the show and he had this look of knowing on his face. He grew up in Italy watching the Italian version of it, Cinque Samurai, and it's been his favorite since childhood too.

Ronin Warriors, DBZ , Sailor Moon,Ruronin Kenshin, Gundam Wing etc. these were my gateway to anime back in the early 2000's Toonami block glad Ronin Warriors is getting recognition it's really a underrated anime Anubis is my favorite character from the series:-)
  • @Scuba_Bro
Not only were the Ronin Warriors awesome but the villains in the series were truly well thought out! The whole thing with Anubis’ transformation over time was just something I was so blown away with as a kid!

I was in the 6th grade in 1995, when it aired. It was my first and, to this day, favourite anime ever. It just felt a lot more impactful than other kids' animated shows of the era. I liked TMNT, Transformers, X-Men and the classic Looney Toons but Ronin Warriors moved me. Seeing a group of guys so bonded to each other that they would give their lives for one another made a huge impression on me, being almost friendless at the time. The show would remain on my mind until I could find DVDs a decade later.

Love this show. Being a big TMNT, power rangers, vr troopers fan, this was definitely up my alley as a kid.
  • @Ronin-FBA
Ronin Warriors was my intro into anime!!
  • @Keytap15
I used to run home from school to watch Ronin Warriors. That classic 90's Toonami block put a lot of us on.

WOW. This was an INCREDIBLE retrospective look at one of my all-time favorite series. This was quickly forgotten after the 90s, and didn't get the respect it deserves. if you bring it up nowadays, it gets a "huh?" response. But it was awesome, even if only from a nostalgic perspective. And it should have 100% gotten games like the DBZ series got!

This is an undervalued asset in the world of YT anime video essays. Kudos to you, sir.
  • This series was a masterpiece. I'm 41 it's only cartoon I watch now and still love just as much as I did then. First saw it in 1995 this was my religion I was infatuated still am.

I grew up watching this gem. It was so incredible that I've been looking for it for a long time as an adult. I finally got my hands on it and binged it.

I loved this show when I was a kid. I always made sure to have my mom record in on vhs so I could watch it again later. It was the start of my love of anime, and my first glimpse in to an beautiful country that is Japan. It still holds a special spot in my heart. Thank you for making this and bringing back happy memories.

This show brings back memories from the 90's where I used to watch this show. This is a great in-depth documentary about Ronin Warriors. Thank you for the information. It is so insightful.

... Each trooper would've gotten their own version of the White Armor? Aargh, why didn't we get that?
