Bryan Cranston is the living proof that "TV actor" does not mean "b-grade" or "untalented".

As a teenager this show was hilarious. Now, as a dad, I can totally relate to Hal.

Hal was a real man who worked hard for and lived his family, but never lost the kid in him either.

What’s amazing about Cranston as an actor is that he disappears into his roles to such a degree, you never think about his other iconic characters while watching them. Hal and Walter White actually share some similar qualities (both family men, both have neurotic tendencies, both share a proclivity for running around in their tighty whities), but Cranston plays them so differently they’re easily discernible from each other. Two of the greatest TV performances and characters of all time. This dude is an absolute master of his craft.

Hal may not be perfect, but he is the father we should all strive to be. Loving to his wife and kids. Yet never lose the passion in our ventures

Anybody remember when Hal finds out Lois is pregnant again and tells her everything is going to ok and goes out to get her ice cream. Then when he gets in the van starts sobbing uncontrollably while Malcom sleeps in the back.

Everyone is talking about breaking bad and Im just here wondering how this guy was a very convincing dad.

Hal's high pitched scream is so perfectly funny every single time, hes the best!

i now understand that the writers of this show were genuine geniuses. it's refreshing as hell to see a family more dysfunctional than your own, even if only a little

as i grow old, never let me forget Hal roller blading.

To me, Hal was the best tv-sitcom dad ever! He wasn't the average comedy husband and father, who drank beer, watched football and kinda love-hated his family. Hal was passionate about his family, his especially, but also other things. Even though he wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, he stayed curious about things. He was never afraid to show his emotions or any vulnerability. All this made him kinda more "realistic" (as realistic as Malcolm in the Middle could be) and also a better role model for young boys watching TV (as much as you can get a "role model" from TV)

Hal has strong genes. you can really see where the boys get a lot of their chaotic intelligence from.

Bryan Cranston’s scream is priceless.

The best thing about Hal is his unbridled love for Lois, in so many series where the husband cheats, Hal never does because of his love for Lois, and I feel that solidifies the bond of the family in the series

The roller blade arc will still be the perfect embodiment of Hal. Very serious when he needs to be, a stern father but because he knows how far you can go with proper skills, still goofy in nature, but has so much heart. Also he knows that it’s important to eat good sandwiches at the appropriate time.
