Adam Elenbaas is a professional astrologer, author, and yoga instructor/studio owner, from the DC/Maryland metropolitan area. Adam is the critically acclaimed author of "Fishers of Men: The Gospel of an Ayahuasca Vision Quest," (Tarcher/Penguin 2010), and one of the founding writers/contributing editors of the popular web magazine, RealitySandwich.com. Adam holds an M.A. in English, Language, and Literature, and an M.F.A in Creative Non-Fiction Writing. Adam teaches courses on Hellenistic astrology, Yoga Philosophy, and Horary Astrology, and is an aspiring disciple of the Gaudiya Vaishnav tradition of Bhakti yoga. Nadiya + Adam - WOW. This was superb. THANK YOU for offering this. I've been following both of you for a few years. Nadiya, through your YouTube channel; Adam, through your written posts on your website + this past year, your videos on YouTube. I study astrology + I've never been able to grasp the ecliptic's energy + how it affects the 12-house system. This breakdown, Adam, made everything come into focus for me. The "grabbers", the "places", how the two different directions make up the archetypal energies that served as seeds for how we classify them, today. Fascinating. It does make sense to me, now. After learning this, I feel this understanding of the Ancient texts + philosophies is crucial to any budding astrologer. I study Horary as well, and the ancient rules set forth by Lilly made sense before...but now, I understand why planets "behave" a certain way. It has everything to do with the directions.
