Met Steve a few times in 2003 and 2004, along with Bruce Lorich, who was over from the States. Steve worked for Spink then, already an expert of course 20 years ago and totally embedded in the world of coins!

I would love the 1839 Proof sovereign. No budget for that. That would be absolutely gorgeous. Nice to see those slabs inside a bit of polythene so they don't scratch the slab.
  • Oh my word wow!!!! That 1701 is tear jerkingly lovely! The 1822 isnt too shabby either !

I wish I had bought the Marsh guide before I started buying sovereigns. It's a great guide. Excellent video and loved the backdrop of your collection.

Great video and good to hear the advice from Steve. Glad he picked the 1862 R over R in Victoria as a top pick... Lucky I picked one up recently!

Lovely display of just a small part of your collection, I am sure. You have a pick for quality and scarcity combined!

I have the book mentioned it saved my bacon on a few occasions. I learned a great deal regarding 1/2 Sovereign varieties, very interesting. Thanks.

3:44 Those Edward VII coins could be found quite cheaply 20 years ago. Not now!

Well done Numi, great interview with a lovely backdrop. Had to look again @20s if I could only have one coin in my collection that would be it.

If my interest in collecting ever wanes, I only need a Numistacker video to put me back on track.

Wow Numi.... you have a really lovely collection there... good taste in your coin picks, they look fantastic together. Those 1826 proofs... wow!! I'm a relatively new coin collector (only started this year), and I see I have a long way to go, but it's fun all the way :) Thanks for another informative video.
