One of the greatest poems in the English language. It inspired me in my 20s and now in my 60s. A powerful reading. Thank you.

I read this fantastic poem more than hindered times since my college days back in 1956. Now I am listening to the wonderful recitation of it on YouTube, and I really enjoyed it. Thank you thank you again.

This is a poem to consider as we age and feel we are " giving up". After reading this one is surely filled with a sense of self-renewal!!

This is why I learned English. I didn't know it until I found this
  • Love Tennyson's work, such a genius. Beautiful reading, almost sounds like a youthful Richard Burton....what a voice!

It is better to wear out than to rust out. Love from Kashmir,a land that was once a Paradise.

I can not explain how this makes me feel, absolutely beautiful.

It may not be quite complete here but I enjoyed it none the less. Tennyson is my favorite poet and always has been. As I type this I've a photo of him above my window here which I gaze at each and every day. Not an idol but rather something better about humanity to strive for because we all have our faults as he did I suppose. So let us write and create and set pen to paper or keyboard to notepad. Perhaps one day someone will find value in it. If for nothing else let such words tell the world we were once here because each and every one of us means something and are hear for a reason. Let us try not to lose sight of that. Take care, rbheiss (Rolland)
  • A great poem;very moving;many life lessons especially for older people;the day is never done.

Beautiful reading. Your playlists in the description aren't working anymore (save for the Shakespeare playlist). Could you please reupload them or fix the current ones? Thanks
