And how can you forget about his absolute missile in right field?! As you can already tell, there’s a lot to discuss surrounding the life and career of Vlad Sr.

Vlad actually hit 40 home runs in 2002. In Olympic Stadium, he hit an opposite field homer that went off the scoreboard just above the wall in right-center. However, the umpires thought it hit off the top of the wall and only got a double. He was robbed of a 40-40 season.

Tons of things that I love about Vlad, but my favorite is: while everyone was out in the field stretching and warming up before games, he would spend the whole time inside playing MLB on PlayStation, virtually batting against the actual opposing starting pitcher of the game.

Hitting pitches that nobody swings at for a double that’s what i remember seeing him play. He was awesome

Vlad was probably the best free swinger ever. Dude could barrel up anything, Had a cannon for an arm, he could steal some bases, did not strike out a ton. 5 tool player very fun to watch. A definate favorite.

Rickey Henderson, Vlad and Trout are my favorites of all time. Love players that have every tool and GREAT at every tool.
  • @redlegs2338
Best bad ball hitter ever. Plus he was so clever as well in a multitude of ways. Loved how he never had the gloves either the barehands looked so awesome to me.
  • @jamesesterline
Vlad was my favorite player to use in MLB Power Pros. I'm honestly shocked no team picked him up as a DH in 2012 or 2013, he probably had enough gas left in the tank to reach 3,000 hits and 500 homers.
  • @KTF0
Vlad was one of the most exciting players to watch. Also, Vlad didn't speak much in Spanish, quiet stoic guy. In his HOF speech he actually said he let his bat do the talking.
  • @Collin790
I already said this but Edgar Martinez from a factory worker to hall of famer would be incredible
  • @samgense8873
Despite having trout and ohtani vlad is still my favorite angel of all time. No batting gloves, globs of pine tar, cannon of an arm and could hit any pitch in any location, such a legend.
  • @titusrivers5059
My all time favorite player! We heard Vladimir, Vladimir, Vladimiiiiiiiiiiiiiir screamed by French baseball announcer of the Montreal Expos Rodger Brulotte so many times when I was a kid. Truly one of the greats. Respect
  • @DipreG
This video made me smile a lot. Here in the Dominican we love Vlad

1 OF THE GREAT PLAYERS .. WITH 1 OF THE GREAT THROWING ARMS .. AND THE BEST BAD BALL HITTER .. IN MLB ⚾ HISTORY .. VLADIMIR 'THE IMPALER' GUERRERO SR#27 ..

After seeing his son just win the HR Derby, I immediately thought of how absurdly dominant Vlad Sr was in the roids era. I recall my early childhood years falling in love with baseball and marveling at these numbers he and his contemporaries were putting up at the time. Seeing his outfield assists highlights on the SportsCenter Top 10 and Baseball Tonight was a regular viewing. Younger fans who marvel at Vlad Jr need to watch this vid.

Can you please do a video on my favorite play, Mark Grace? He led the 90's in hits and doubles along with excellent defense. Let's not forget that he started the Diamondbacks rally of game 7 of the 2001 World Series with a single off of Mariano Rivera.
