I'm not sure why more promotions don't do this. This debut instantly made Jericho a main eventer. This was my favorite debut of all time

When "Jericho" flashes up on the screen and the crowd POPS I still get goosebumps every time!

The crowd erupted once they saw ‘JERICHO’ on the screen. Goosebumps. I wish WWE kept this version of his theme. It goes way harder than any of the versions that came after.

Best debut ever and a punching blow in the Monday night wars. Jericho flipped it. WCW bought all WWEs senior citizens and WWE bought all WCWs hidden talent.

I remember the build up to this moment as a kid. It wasn't out of nowhere. There were random countdowns during Raw here and there for weeks. The anticipation, timing, and execution of this return is one of the all-time great moments of the Attitude Era. And of course, The Rock's response 😂😂😂😂. Simply awesome!!

That 0.1 of a second where the crowd reads JERICHO and all go nuts makes this one of my absolute favourite debuts ever

It shows how much they believed in Jericho, having him go one on one with the Rock in his first promo. They could have easily thrown him in there against someone lesser and toast them ruthlessly, but having him go against prime Rock? Incredible.

What an iconic debut. I remember being 10 years old and watching this with my brother. I didn't watch other promotions, so I admittedly wasn't familiar with Chris Jericho before this, but this debut and the lead-up to it made me instantly love him. Watching it today still fills me with excitement.

I can’t help but break down in tears man. This is my childhood! The buildup to Jericho was unreal! That entrance was so crazy. The only entrance that tops this is triple h’s return in 2002. Never heard a pop that loud before. Those of us who got to experience this in real time as it was happening truly got to be apart of amazing times

the silhouette of the woman in the titantron, the JERICHO name flash, the crowd, the recognition of who it was , commentators staying silent, the awesome soundtrack...perfection

Man when the words Jericho hit the Titantron it’s a pop like no other. I remember this like it was yesterday. One of the greatest debuts ever. One of the greatest theme songs ever. One of the greatest wrestlers in ring on the mic. EVER
