After Clive and his friends receive word of Leviathan's Dominant, they venture to a new region, Mysidia, alongside Shula, a new character. Throughout their journey, they learn more about her people, the truth behind the aquatic Eikon and much more in a compelling narrative. You also have new Eikonic abilities, fun (and challenging) bosses and an incredible Eikon battle.
Though it still lacks in dungeon and side quest design, The Rising Tide is an excellent end to the action RPG's run, delivering on its presentation and combat while packing enough goodies - like the endgame Kairos Gate - to keep hardcore fans hooked.

I put over 10 hours in this DLC, it is simply GODLY. - Amazing new location, very final fantasy. It must not be a coincidence that CBU3 also designed a similar location for their 2024 DLC for FF14 (Dawnstrail). - Absolutely Godly music by Soken in every location. The Leviathan theme, divided in 4 phases, is simply the best eikonic theme in the game. - CHALLENGING DIFFICULTY ESP ON FF MODE. LEVIATHAN ON FF MODE GAVE ME A HARD TIME AND I AM A SOULS VETERAN. EVERY BOSS IN THIS GAME HAS TONS OF MOVES AND MOVES FAST. - NEW ENEMIES LIKE TONBERRIES AND TEMPLE COEURLS. - Leviathan storyline is very poignant and the perfect last Eikon for Clive to beat - LEVIATHAN EIKON MOVES ARE FUN AF, IT TURNS THE GAME INTO A FAST PACED LONG RANGE SHOOTER, AND THE DLC ENEMIES ARE MADE TO BE DEALT WITH HIM. Overall a 10/10 DLC that I enjoyed thoroughly like the last short DLC. WHOEVER DESIGNED THESE DLCS NEEDS TO BE GIVEN A RAISE. THEY UNDERSTAND GAMEPLAY.

For me its a 9/10 DLC, it gave me everything I hoped for and the final surprise at the end after beating it was insane.

Rebirth was amazing. But I really really like XVI too….the lore and world, character, music 🎉❤

There's not much to discover in the dungeons as usual, but some of the chests in mysidia itself has the new feat upgrading accessories that are pretty good and significantly changes gameplay. Wish the base game's accessories are more like the ones in the two DLCs instead of just higher damage or less cooldown, but it is what it is.

The witch was literally Jill's lookalike. I would have loved to see her backstory integrated more richly into The Rising Tide.

Time Keeper was TOUGH!! And Leviathan was an EPIC 30-40 minute battle and truly satisfying after completing each of its 4 phases!! INCREDIBLE WAY to close Clive's journey 👏 10/10

Does the level cap in the base game increase in the DLC?

Beating Leviathan on FF mode never felt so good. Sure it took two hours and I got kills a bunch times by Tsunami. But then I GOT GOOD. And wouldn’t it be weird if spoiler turns out to be Yu Yevon…..

I think if you complete Echoes of the Fallen, you get a side-quest at the end of The Rising Tides that not only ties both DLCs together but also gives to them a nice epilogue.

I would have been completely satisfied if the devs just added the leviathan attack like the other eikons during the final fight, but I can also understand why Ultima would not even use leviathans power because he thought that eikon was tainted and unworthy.

Loved the DLC! Finished all the side quest and the fight with Leviathan was tough in FF mode but its what i wanted in a boss fight. Great game!

I love the dlc but god almighty leviathan one cheap move tsunami is such a pain that it basically drove me crazy but that’s just my opinion.

Any one knows if I can take the new DLC powers into a new game plus? Especially Final Fantasy mode?

Finished it yesterday. This game has the best boss fights in the history of Gaming. The tech is cutting edge, the game engine is God tier. Gonna delete the save file just to fight Leviathan again😂

I wish they make ff16 sequel 2nd expansion Clive and 2 the others still alive after a fight with ultima Final Fantasy 16 Reborn ❤❤

Plot hole: Seeing as Leviathan was absorbed by Clive, shouldn't that have meant that the vessel i.e. Mythos was complete, thus meaning that Clive survived the final battle with Ultima?
