Why should #senegal be your first or next Africa travel destination?

This video will help you plan where to sleep, eat and explore in mainland Africa’s westernmost country. Senegal’s peninsula-shaped capital, #dakar is ranks high up on my top travel destinations on the continent.

From the impressive African Renaissance Museum, the rose coloured Lake Retba aka #LacRose and the hauntingly beautiful #GoreeIsland ... you will not regret a visit to Dakar!

I’m a South African by birth but I’ve always been drawn to Senegal. Call it deja vu but it is the only country in Africa outside my birth land that I truly feel at home. I love the Senegalese people

I just found out that my roots are from Senegal… We come from Saint Kitts, but, after looking a little deeper, we’ve discovered we are Senegalese… I love it. I accept it and I am on my way. ❤🙏🏽🔥

This reconfirms my yearning to go to Senegal as my first destination in the African continent. It just seems like a peaceful and overlooked country. I must say Sara you are gorgeous omg.

As a Moroccan, I am taking my family to visit Senegal next year. In fact, my DNA showed I am 6% Senegalese. Dakar will be my first call. In fact, I am thinking of buying a holiday apartment if I can legally do that. Senegal is my second country. I would like to see more Senegalese youth come to Morocco to study, live and work.
  • I visited Dakar in 2011. Lived there 2012-15. Visited in 2019. Traveled to other areas in Senegal. Will visit in 2024. I love Senegal. Did language at ACI!
  • I was missing Senegal today so I searched for a video and yours popped up. Crazy enough, I visited the ACI Baobab school because of some friends I met and Ibou gave me a tour. I was there the day they painted the mural behind him. What a small world! Thanks for reminding me of happy times :):)

I am looking forward to visiting next year! I met a nice brotha, Muhammad from Dakar, Senegal. He owns a restaurant in Philly. I love the people, food, history, everything! His mother was so happy when we spoke on the phone.
