“They were very well aware that this was going to cause a storm, but they thought that that was a significant enough win from the change, for them to be able to weather this storm.”

You have to be paid handsomely to believe it’s a win for Labour.

The fact that she feels more comfortable politically says alot

Her acceptance finally convinces me I am no longer a Labour voter. Red Tory's and Blue Tory's, there is no damn difference any more.

I despise Elphicke and everything she stood for but as she`s standing down before the GE I can stomach her joining labour as a massive kick in the teeth for slimy Sunak

All you need to consider is that the M.P. at the sharp end of Fishy's key policy, i.e. "Stop the boats" has decided he hasn't got a clue what he's doing, and Starmer has the right idea. Everything else is irrelevant, as she's standing down soon.

The Murdoch press giving a positive spin for Starmer the chosen one.

Wheeler is delusional and thinks we're all idiots. Anyone who knows anything about Elphicke knows that she's just an opportunist who holds no moal conviction. She's more right wing than even Sunuak, and if Starmer had a back bone he wouldn't have accepted her. Starmer's constant flip flopping on positions is even worse.

Oh, now that Caroline Wheeler and the rest of the establishment drones want to tell us that having more right wing basket cases in the Labour party is a good thing, actually. I'm totally sold on the idea The f*** is Caroline Wheeler?

In American politics if a Trumpy senator or congressman were to switch parties, denounce Trump policies and declare voting for Biden. It would be hailed as a victory for President Biden and the Democratic Party. Sane Americans are hoping Republican politicians and voters will change their minds. The British pearl clutching about Starmer’s coup is baffling on this side of the Atlantic.

Rats jumping off the sinking ship onto a floating piece of wood, which is what Labour is . No idea what or where it’s going .

If he had any integrity he would join the Tory party rather than bring the Tory party to our party
  • It’s still a loss for the people. Doesn’t matter who gets in this country is finished. Bad times are coming 😢
