Play War Thunder now with this link and get a big juicy free bonus pack including vehicles, boosters and more: playwt.link/floydson Stoked to have sponsorships like this to help make this channel and this youtube dream possible - and more importantly I'm so grateful to you guys for watching and ultimately being the ones that make this whole thing a joy. Much love. And I hope you enjoy the video - I think it's a banger. Perhaps THE most iconic moments EVER in any of my videos so far.

the fact that you encountered the ghost leviathan in the dead zone in a completely organic way is kind of impressive
  • @X-SPONGED
25:54 Fun Fact: That's a real message written by a real person. If you do choose to leave the planet after building a rocket ship. You could also stuff some of your valuables in a Time Capsule, write a note, and then send it off to the watery depths of the planet as you take off. This is basically a way that past players can influence and help the new ones to develop technology and thrive faster whilst also optionally telling their story of how they survived, thrived, cured, and finally escaped this deadly paradise. I think it's real neat.

Im glad you liked the game ^_^. I sketched the idea for the moon pool and did most of the translation to Norwegian in this game. Spent 2500 hours due to my involvement as admin in Subnautica Wiki during this time in development in game and it's still awesome to watch your awesome comments along the way. I have two limit edition trophy plate to place in base/cyclops as honor to the time for UW Inc. Have a great one, cheers!

Shrimpy was a good suit. He was loyal. Tough. He saw many missions and even battled to the death with a ghost leviathan he became so feared amongst the ghost levitation population that the next time he fought one it ran in fear earning it the name "coward worm". At the end of shrimpys life he was sadly crushed to death by a rough moonpool. His son. Shrimpy Jr. Was brave enough to lay his father to rest in the shrimpy way. With a mcslap. Rest in peace shrimpy mcslap. May your parts never rust.

Floydson the absolute god pumping out ridiculous hours of high quality content, edited, narrated consistently. Amazing content creator!
  • Leave it to the Floydster to completely miss his evac. Also the comment about your kids during Aurora exploration literally made me "Aww" out loud. I know there are a lot of people doing these 100 days thing, but honestly yours are the first I really look forward to since LTN's original minecraft ones. I think you really nail his point about "it's not about how much you achieve, but how much fun is the journey."

Loved this playthrough. There are in-game Easter egg references to a couple prominent youtubers, most notably Markiplier and Jacksepticeye. They both covered the game extensively during it's development, alpha and beta stages, and by raising awareness for the game, helped the developers finish it. I think at one stage the developers were running out of money and going to shelve the project, but increased interest due to Mark and Jack covering the game kept it on track.

1:02:13 In case anyone is curious, the "Unusual Doll" was added into the game while it was still in early access to thank Markiplier for the support he gave the game. There's also an easter egg for Jacksepticeye (an eyeball floating in a tank of green liquid) for the same reason. Also, on the game case of the final release (at least for PS4) they included a quote from Jacksepticeye's playthrough about how much he liked the game. I think it's really fun that the developer's thanked creators in that way and kept in all in the final release. Also super fun that you found at least one of them on accident! I haven't finished the video yet, but I always love finding new Subnautica content to watch and already can't wait for a 200 days! EDIT: I just finished the video and saw that you already finished the game, so no 200 days. But great video! I've been loving your content recently, keep up the great work!

Tiny correction; the big boi you saw in the thermal/lava area was actually the sea dragon leviathan, which is extremely close in resemblance to the sea emperor leviathan, so much so, that they look nearly identical. It's been many years since I last played Subnautica, so I'm not sure if it was actually the sea emperor or the sea dragon that escaped from containment at the thermal base, but I would wager it was the sea dragon. Thank you for the amazing video, as always!
  • A solid survival game that gives you thalassophobia, all the while having some of the most amazing and immersive music imaginable! Such a spectacular game.
  • @Ani-rq7wv
It’s been years and I’ve still not completed my first proper play through of the game. The Sea Emperor Mother is so gentle and kind and I just… can’t make myself leave the planet. She’s so lovely
  • @judetarves1381
Him complaining it’s to dark The cyclops with headlights that he didn’t use once
  • @Legion_03
Man literally missed one of the best scenes in the game because he couldn’t manage his time enough to get to the rendezvous point
  • @theFunkyThumb
There is nothing i love more than to see people experience this game for the first time
  • 34:35 if anyone is interested, that transmission is a sort of Easter Egg. It’s Appsro from the Neebs gaming channel. The channel made an excellent cinematic series early on in subnautica, so the devs added them in. I love small touches like that from passionate devs in touch with their base.
  • Sea dragons - the big thing in the lava area - are easily the derpiest creature in the game. They have a really, really good leadup, finding reaper leviathan skeletons they leave in the mountain entrance to the lost river and the upper lava zone, hearing their roars in the distance and seeing the damage one dealt to the disease research facility as well as its remains outside that cavern, but then you encounter them and they just kind of wheel around the cave and clip through the walls. Such a funny creature.
  • @siljorfag
Great content, really enjoyed your Subnautica journey. Just a few nitpicks regarding the story/lore: -The leviathan in the lava zone is the Sea Dragon, not the Sea Emperor; -It was a Sea Dragon that destroyed the Disease research facility after the architects took one of it's eggs for research; -It was a Reaper leviathan that attacked the 3rd Degasi base at the Deep Grand Reef; -The leviathan that had immunity to the Kharaa is the Sea Emperor (the one within the Primary containment facility at depth 1400mts).
  • Watching the Reaper clip with the murky water and watching him surface behind the Aurora immediately made my adrenaline go off
  • @TNGYun
if war thunder is so damn committed to realism, why not quietly incorporate all those leaked military documents into the actual vehicles 🤣
