Never Leave Power Armor At Settlements With the Fusion Core in it | Fallout 4

Only reason why this happened was because I forgot to take the fusion core out. How and Why did I forget you may ask? Well I took it off because I wanted to work on the settlement for a bit and after that I stopped playing the game to get some rest. A few weeks pass and I completely forgot what I was doing, so I just left the settlement without even realizing I had left my armor there. I come back to the settlement about an hour or so and I lure a Behemoth ( the one that lives by those cars that are like stuck to the ground and are facing up) to my settlement for entertainment. The whole fight happens and I realize that one of my settlers happens to be wearing my suit in battle. I then quickly kill the behemoth and just feel kinda dumb for a bit. It wasn't a huge deal to me, but it was a little annoying. Kinda funny now that I think about it lol

Leaving your power armor at a settlement with a fusion core in it is the post apocalyptic equivalent of parking your car in a bad neighborhood and leaving the key in the center console.
-
Come back 5 minutes later and your armor is sitting on cinder blocks.
-
Found a settler with my X-01 power armour on,kindly asked him to get out,and politely showed him the sun.
-
that's why I turned the Home Plate into a huge power armor closet.
-
Wow, you are really patient with your settlers, i held a public execution when i saw some random new settler walking around in my quantum X01 suit
-
If you take the fusion core out of the power armor, it'll be left alone
-
This is why you always take the fusion core when you exit. Even in Goodneighbor or Diamond city, cause if something followed you in that armor is as good as stolen by the nearest NPC, and those guys you can't just tell to get out
-
They know if they ever touch my XO2 power armor they are getting annihilated with my plasma gun
-
When you’re an hour deep into a survival day and you return to your settlement. Then your incompetent farmer grabs the fatman out of storage and obliterates you over a radroach
-
For anyone wondering, this isn't a bug. If settlements have no food source, they'll eat your power armor instead.
-
That's why I leave my armor at the red rocket station where no one is around.
-
I think the phrase should have been “I need you to get out of MY power armor.” 😂
-
The equivalent of “don’t leave your keys in the car”
-
Hit em with a "YOU ARE OUT OF UNIFORM SOLDIER, WHERE IS YOUR POWER ARMOR!!?"
-
All of my 18 suits of power armour are stored on Spectacle Island, where I have no settlers and a purpose built locked bunker with 8 roof mounted missile turrets and 10 heavy machine gun turrets, and it's surrounded by mirelurk infested waters, so they're staying mine
-
Settler will have it all in his inventory. That’s been my experience
-
Take the fusion core out when you’re not in your power armor
-
For anyone wondering why you really shouldn't it's because they'll hop in it during raids and it'll probably take you awhile to find them unless you set them as a trader or something easy to spot.

I learned that companions, raiders, and settlers get into them. The most heartbreaking one is the enemy getting in them cause you lose the shell and the core.
