Ingredients:

250-300 g flour
250 g of yogurt
150 ml of milk
1 egg
1 tsp of lemon zest
70 g sugar ( 5 tbsp)
10 g of baking powder (1 tbsp)
vegetable oil
sugar to garnish

    Did this tonight, only had 150g of yogurt, added nutmeg and vanilla essence. Placed in plastic bag and piped out little drops and they shaped up nicely when cooking. Shook them in cinnamon sugar that I had in a brown bag. Tasted delicious 😋. Trying not to eat all so my children can have them at school tomorrow lolz.
  • They look yummy! I'm about to try making them! My tip: place sugar in paper lunch bag, drop donuts in, roll top closed and shake to coat.

    This was soooooo good! Thank you for this recipe. Before this, every recipe I tried resulted in disaster. I would follow the instructions to the t, and still fail horribly at making a simple cookie, for example. Then I tried this recipe and got it right the first time. My family loved it, so thank you. Also, if anyone wants to try this but isn’t sure they can do it, do it. Trust me

    oh! my! I just made these! They are so good! I used a tiny bit of lemon juice instead of zest because I didn't have actual lemons. For me this took 2 full cups of flour. I also added a 1/3 tbsp of vanilla extract. Very easy to make.
  • Hi there! I tried this recipe which turned out amazing. I added 1 tsp of vanilla essence to the batter and used confectioners sugar instead of white sugar on the fried balls after it was halfway cooled off. Thank you very much for sharing, have a splendid day.

    Simple. Easy to make. Looks good and yummy. Thank you. Egg, sugar, yogurt, milk, grated lemon, flour, baking powder....Deep it in hot oil.

    Super easy treat to make . I loved it. My suggestion to simplify the decorating process at end. Place the sugar in a gallon plastic bag, drop the donut holes in to the bag with sugar when they are cool. Close the bag and shake. No messy hands doing each one. Drop the entire bagful in to a colander to shake off the excess sugar and serve your treats. Sugar can also be saved.

  • If you put them in a large bowl, add sugar, snap on cover and shake, it will coat the donuts faster and easier. ;-) making these tomorrow, thank you!

    Mix honey , butter and cinnamon together.. brush onto the balls then put sugar into a paper bag / or ziplock bag and add the balls into it then shake.. enjoy!!.

    Made it 🎉 they were really good but I used vegan 🌱 yogurt and coconut 🥥 milk for a replacement and they still came out delicious 😋 and the sugar helps makes them sweeter
