HEY ASHEVILLE! Here are some tips for viewing homes Online and in Person!

Are you in the market for buying a home in or near the Asheville NC area? Then I've got some tips for you while you're searching online - and in person!

Tip #1 - When looking at photos online, look through the windows in the photo! Look at your view from the kitchen sink, from the living room, the master bedroom, etc. Make sure you like (or can live with) what you see!

Tip #2 - Use Google Earth and Google Maps to get a better idea of what's nearby. Do you see anything that could potentially be a problem for you?

Tip # 3 - When you're ready to look in person, do as many drive by's as you can to check out the neighborhood at different times of day. Check the drive time to and from work (you can use google maps for this too) and make sure that will work for you.

Tip #4 - Open cabinets and closets, look in the crawl space, look in the attic, and open any closed blinds or curtains to check the view.

Tip #5 - Assume you're being watched and listened to, and don't say anything that can be used against you in negotiations. If you say negative or offensive things, the seller may not be willing to do a deal with you. On the other hand, too much enthusiasm or positive comments about the home can give them the upper hand when it comes to negotiating price.
