In 2011, Murrieta Fire Chief Matthew Shobert and the entire line and staff prepared to run in a 70.1 Triathlon to raise money for the Firefighters' Cancer Support Network, on behalf of Murrieta firefighter Dean Hale (1968-2019) who participated in getting fit and appears in this video. This five-minute video produced by Lynda Giusti-Parra (Lynda StarWriter) is testament of encouragement and hope. The stars are the line and staff of the Murrieta Fire Department.
