Discover The American Cream Draft Horse!

Published 2019-10-12
Discover the American Cream Draft Horse in this video about the breed!

This beautiful draft breed originated in the United States. In the early 1900's a draft type mare named, "Old Granny" was consistently producing foals that looked just like her. She became known as the foundation of the breed. American Cream Draft Horses are cream in color with pink skin and amber eyes. They are of draft breeding and range in height between 15.0-16.3hh. Weighing from 1600-2000lbs! The breed is endangered and there are less than 400 horses registered worldwide. But this historic breed is well loved by many and they are known for their calm and willing personalities.

Filmed at Got Spots Farm in Dodgeville, Wisconsin. Special Thanks to Ariat Equestrian and TraumaVoid!

  • I am lucky to know one American Cream draft horse, he is very smart, inetractive, sweet ,curious and frankly.. fearless boy. What a great horse ! Thank you for this video. Let's hope that people will discover this breed and that they won't be in danger of exctinction anymore.

These videos are brilliant please continue making videos❤️
  • I was watching a program about animals on TV and one of the segments was about horses and one of them was a cream one and for me it was love at first sight even though I'm not normally a horse fancier. I then bought a plush toy cream horse on eBay to add to my collection of stuffed animals and it will be a friend for my plush toy grey horse because I love grey horses too <3 :)
  • I'll be breeding my Haflinger mare to a handsome Cream stallion this spring

Shame they are so rare! It's because they came in when tractors started to, so the never really had a chance! But that breed is a rennie ride if I ever saw one!
