Budgie, next to Queen and Judas Priest, is the band which did not release the same sounding album. Maybe they were controversial for their time, but after years the music defended itself. I remember a concert in August 1982 played in Katowice in "Spodek". It was so loud and noisy there, I don't remember correctly but there were about 15 thousand people, even the party proletarians and militiamen took off their jackets after some time and went dancing together with the audience! To the rhythm of Napoleon BonaPart One and Two, Panzer Division Destroyed or phenomenally played Breadfan. Budgie is a legend, especially in Poland, this band gave us freedom and strength in the fight for a free homeland. R>I>P Burke.

  • DUFEvil was BUDGIE's most musical and mature album. Absolutely brilliant. 'Flowers In the Attic' is genius and should be performed at the Royal Albert Hall with a 100-piece orchestra.

budgie is for sure no1 under rated bands ever.it was my fav band .i was dreaming to c them in concert but i left poland in 1981.they come to poland after i left.i realized that nobody knows this band overseas and its only famous in poland hahaha.ive finaly got to c them in sydney the crowd was huge about 80 people lol.this record was recorded in poland i believe it has acknowlegment in polish at the back of the vinal.its not as good as the 70 ties stuff but still good to listen.the first albums r the most copied music of all time .bands just steal ideas from it without giving credit .my fav song is dont dilute the water .its a masterpiece of mixing ideas and clear sound that melts soo well between the 3 instruments.budgie 3 is propably the best album.budgie is up there with the best of them, thank u 4 developing my taste in music in the 70ties.im glad i was born in that era the most prolific in styles of music.
  • BUDGIE WAS AND IS BUDGIE !!!!, THIS ALBUM IS A FANTASTIC ALBUM, NO MATTER WHAT !!!!

Budgie are the leaders. Others are the followers. Like everything Budgie did, this album was ahead of its time.

Not my favourite album b y far but anything Budgie is ok by me. I was 15 and had seen them at the Hammersmith oden and the original Marquee club. Subsequently met my wife in 87 who amazingly loved Budgie. Took her to Camden underworld for her first Budgie gig. Happy Days
  • This time as good as any of their 1970s albums . This really should have been huge . They have the Heavy songs , and the commercial songs like bigger name acts of the era . This is just as good as Scorpions - Animals Magnetism , and Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell

Flowers in the Attic and Bored with Russia are two of the Best Sounding Budgie Tracks , Really love the Groove on Both , and the Band are Sooo Tight. Steve , Burke and John At Their Best!!
  • @richardicoy
Saw this band in 1982 supporting Ozzy Osborne. Best supporting act I've ever seen.
  • @elektronenklange
The most controversial Budgie album ever. Some love it so much, some other hate it all. In my opinion, there are some worth listening tracks out of it. 'Truth Drug' is certainly one the best Budgie songs ever.
