In this Episode, Rodney Dunsmore, vocalist of Texas Death/ Thrash legends DEVASTATION discusses the origin of the band's iconic blindfolded skull 'mascot', Violent Termination to Idolatry, working with Scott Burns, live shows/touring, the early / mid 80's Texas scene, Rodney's vocal approach / influences, Combat Records, the demise of the band, and why it is that Texas bands always seem a bit more extreme than bands from the rest of the country... I've seen Devastation many times ...always super killer live as Rodney said..VERY INTENSE! also Rodney is one of the coolest dudes ever, always a nice guy! One of Texas' best!
  • Thats badass to see my dads Best bud from highschool doing interviews shedding some light on Devastations history and mentioning all the best heavy underground Texas Metal bands. My dad had told me he use to be at the merch stand selling their merch on tour, and he had alot of mexican teens and older Mexican people buying tons of merch from them, they absolutely loved Devastation. My dad even took a picture with a couple of dudes who thought he was in the band lol
  • Now get Devastation from Chicago! But seriously very cool to have Rodney on. I also really like Devastation from Texas too!
