I met Katt Williams at the mall when I was 15. He was high af. I asked him to sign my gamestop receipt and I said "Katt you're funny as fuck" and he said "That, sir, is an understatement." Still makes me laugh when I think about it
  • 14:14...I'm glad Eddie brought that up. He got that show created SIMPLY to help Redd Foxx in his financial troubles with the IRS. Literally used his power to get one of his idols out of debt. And it was a hit until Redd passed away on the set. NO ONE mentions that element of Eddie's legacy: He put on some of the biggest black comedians on planet Earth. Chris Rock, Martin Lawrence, and Dave Chappelle all got bumps in their careers from appearances in his movies (Rock and Lawrence in Boomerang, Chappelle in The Nutty Professor). Then had Bernie Mac, Anthony Anderson, and Guy Torry in Life. He never had any hesitation about leaving a path for other black people to follow. And honestly, not just comedians. Everyone remembers Samuel L. Jackson's cameo in Coming To America.

In the 80s Eddie Murphy was like a planet with his own gravity - he was huge - I don't think anyone had as much charisma as him in his prime.

As a Black man with gold teeth I gotta admit it...Jerry Seinfeld is one of my favorites. I appreciate his dry humor because you have to be intelligent to get his jokes.

I like how when Jerry tells his jokes he looks at Eddie because that is the only one he cares for the reaction.

You can tell, and this is rare as he is so aware of his own talent, jerry is taking a back seat to the legend himself Eddie Murphy. You can see how much he respects him as a comedian.
  • What a treat! Two absolute masters of their craft just chewing the fat in such an easy way, and what a perfect interviewer who knows when to come in and when to stay out of the way. Outstanding.

Jerry's right, Eddie was a phenomenon in the 80s with Raw, SNL, Beverly Hills Cop, 48 Hours, etc. He was huge.

I love that Eddie always comes off so genuine... no fake laughing, no pretending to be interested in things, but still a really nice, intellectual guy.

Eddie should get an academy award for all his acting, one of a kind.

Eddie is so chill and laid back. I can see where there’s no movie character like his true self. Two legends!

The way Eddie Murphy listens, responds, and enjoys the moments is amazing. He always invites the audience back into the conversation in a way that feels very special.

Eddie can do anything. I still think he should have won the Oscar for Dreamgirls. He was amazing. Every movie he does he brings it all the way. So so many laughs he has given us from the get go. Jerry Seinfield is a crack up too. Still watch Seinfeld and laugh. Great men!

Only Jerry Seinfeld could make “putting lightbulbs in boxes” funny! Two of my favorite comedians together!
  • “You ain’t nobody!” 😂🤣 Love how Eddie says, “A very black heckle.”
