NOELLA McMaher is a transgender model and activist. The 11-year-old walked the runway in New York Fashion Week for the first time at the age of 10 and went to her first protest at the age of six. Her parent, Asher said: “Starting at the age of two she was already telling us ‘I’m not a boy, I’m a girl’.” Noella legally transitioned at the age of seven and the family celebrated her name change with a surprise party. Her modelling career started in Chicago and she is believed to be the youngest transgender model to walk the runway in NYFW. She is proud to be bringing awareness to transgender people through her modelling and through her activism work. She said: “It’s important for me to go to protests to support people like me.” The family have been subjected to judgement and negativity with comments accusing Asher of ‘forcing’ or ‘abusing’ their child and they received a lot of backlash after Noella got hormone blockers. Asher said: “This process is under the purview of medical professionals, mental health professionals. It’s providing her the ability to continue living her life as who she is.” Asher, who is non-binary said: “Everyday I am in awe of who she has grown into.” They added that Noella inspired their own transition. Noella will be walking in more runway shows soon and will continue her activism work. She said: “No matter their age, people should be able to express who they are.”

The kid knew nothing, the parents are just pushing their own agenda. How is this not child abuse??
  • @elizel90
The interviewer asked the child if they remember when they realized they were a girl and the response was "NO", that should say it all.

What doctor asks a 4-year-old, "Do you feel like a girl?" "Ok, then you're a girl from now on." ??? No more intense questioning? Therapy? As an adult I cannot just walk in my doctor's office and tell her what is wrong, have her totally agree without any additional questioning, and prescribe me whatever I want because that is how I feel.

There is no way a 2 year old would know if they are trans. That's just crazy talk.
  • @Bebedollie
At 2 yrs old a child can't even decide what they want for breakfast.

I think the mom/dad was jealous of the attention that their kid was getting, so they decided to join the party. 🤦🏻‍♀️

A two-year-old does not know what it means boy or girl, Playing with toys that's all they know, Unless Mommy and daddy told them otherwise

What happened to letting feminine boys and tomboys be themselves? I played sports, loved video games, hated pink, and refused to wear dresses when I was a kid... doesn't mean I'm trans as an adult. Just had a chance to explore and be a kid. I'd be horrified if my parents took that as a green light to do this mess. Poor kid.

No she didn't. Stop doing this to children is horrible.
  • @samsudeep6199
This is wrong on so many levels how can a child who is 2 years old can decide for transition when that child brain is not even fully developed.
  • @flamingyouth
Poor kids! Parents are to blame for the gender confusion.

My question is, what does wearing dresses mean? Because clothing is arbitrary, and unimportant in the real world of being whomever you want to be. You can wear tights, baggy t-shirts, a kilt, a toga, a three-piece-suit, underpants, or nothing at all, and that doesn't change who you are. It's fine to identify as whatever you feels most meaningful to you, but please realize that superficial stuff like what you look like is pretty much irrelevant. It's what you do in life, creating and/or exploring something uniquely awesome, that's important. So, rather than ask what you're wearing, or how your hair is styled, or if you have painting on your face or body, I ask you: what do you want to learn about or make that will help some person, place, or thing get what they need?

The people who are promoting this need help. Dead serious.
  • @Martehoffmann8
Teach your kids to love their bodies not hate them this is just insanity
