Still married to his high school sweetheart and touring with the same three guys almost 40 years later... In fact, U2 is the longest running active band that's never had a lineup change or a hiatus. He's an amazing guy both as a humanitarian and an artist.

Bono is so amazing. Who else can sing a solemn song about the horrors of heroin? Who else can sing so boldly of his faith in God? What about his vocals overflowing with sorrow about the Troubles? This man is the only one. Such a beautiful voice, and he certainly has a talent for songwriting. Plus, his morals and charity work are phenomenal. Haters can go elsewhere, for it is easy to hate what is good in the world.

Here is a cool anecdote about Bono. When I was in college U2 was in town and my friend Raven, who was gorgeous was working at a bar when in walks Bono. They had a few laughs then he asks her to drive him around Indianapolis to see the city. I asked if he tried to sneak a kiss and she said he never even flirted and that he was a perfect gentleman.

It is easy to be cynical about U2 and Bono, but people tend to forget how hard they worked for their success. None of them are the best at what they do, but together they are a force. These guys left Dublin with about 15 tunes in 1980 and played clubs all over the world to audiences as small as 150 people. They built their own fan base one fan at a time and u have to respect that.

Born in 68. Was a U2 fan from high school. Sister bought me tickets to Joshua Tree concert when I finished boot camp. STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN opened at JFK . I'm 51 and a U2 fan....Bravo ,Bono Adam Larry and the Edge!

They say you should never meet your heroes but I met Bono while staying at the Clarence, he was so accommodating and gracious. Top guy.
