Friend: "What are we going to see tonight, a metal band, cirque du soleil, a choir or an opera?" Me: "Yes."

I can't listen to anything but him now; everything else sounds so one-dimensional. He's ruining my life in the best way possible. It's great.
  • This isn't a song, it's a celebration. It's as close to a hymn a metalhead can get. Love it.

The drummer is a BEAST. I mean the song is epic, I've heard it literally about thousand times and I absolutely love it, but the drums... incredible
  • Her vocals are PERFECTLY mixed into everything. She cuts trough everyhing so well, its is insane. This is trully a live masterpiece. :')

WARNING: Do not watch this or 80% of Devin Townsend unless you're ready to cry at least a little bit. Insanely powerful, beautiful, and heavy af music. Timeless.

I can't describe how much I love Anneke's voice. I'm so glad that she is creating such fine art with a master mind named Devin.
  • When he said "I fucking mean this" into the mic and then sang "Laugh, Love, Live, Learn"....I smiled immediately. Devin is such an awesome human being (Or possibly Alien?).

When I saw this song live I absolutely lost it. Everyone was so happy, it was a spiritual experience.

i'm not kidding: i am sitting in front of my laptop crying tears of joy because of the epicness of this song
  • This was my wedding song at ceremony closing. A favourite before and since then.

I've seen Devin Townsend around 15 times and my favourite moment, by far, was when a girl scrambled up on stage, kissed him sweetly on the cheek, accidentally knocking him into the microphone, and he just grinned and said to the audience "did you hear the sonic boom as she kissed the stinky chin!?".

This is the entrance theme to heaven, and I'm ok with this
  • This song always brings me to tears. Proper tears. I wish I could have seen this live.

Devin is an interesting cat, and in many ways the epitome of the metal, rock and punk themselves. Never in my life have I met a gang of people that can scream, shout, mosh, jump and shake violently for hours, but are the most decent people you meet, who speak kind and true. I hope you folks out there never change, I may not play an active part in this community anymore because I never find the time these days but I still love you all dearly. And if you're 16 or so, and have your own thing, and constantly have tp listen to stupid arguments from people because of the music you listen to, stay true. You're the best kids out there.

Jesus.. it's like a never ending discovery of beautiful genius. Every time I find a new Devin song, performance, project I think how can he top this amazing piece of art? And then I stumble upon the next mind-blowing expression of his creativity. I'm grateful, in a way, that I just discovered him now; there's so much to go through. He's been building it up for 30+ years.. Lucky us!
