The board behind the Oscars has expelled Harvey Weinstein in the wake of sexual harassment and assault allegations against him spanning 30 years. Weinstein demonstrated his power and influence at the Academy Awards for decades, providing a lens into how he cultivated such strength in the entertainment industry. Read more: wapo.st/2MtLw80. Brad Pitt confronted him... And never won an Oscar until Harvey was in jail...

Paltrow winning over Cate Blanchett was a crime.

Now I understand why Jennifer Lawrence rise to fame so quickly.

So are they going to expose the other top producers in Hollywood as well? Harvey isn’t the only one ?
  • @SAMZIRRA
So I get it. Harvey did it. But, I want to know who all the others are. He can't be the only one at the top doing this.

shakespear in love winning that year is a crime in itself.

The jennifer lawrence connection makes so much sense! I've always been shocked that she had an oscar and enough power in hollywood for them to rewrite the xmen movies to focus on her character without the talent to justify it.

Boycotting Hollywood is not looking so crazy now is it..
  • I want Martin Scorsese to direct Weinstein's biopic starring Leonardo diCaprio. Produced by Miramax.

I have ALWAYS wondered why certain people GET THOSE DAMN Oscars even when their movies weren't so awesome or didn't compare to other movies out during the same year! Even questioned why certain actors won Oscars and others pulled off AMAZING performances beyond what the winner displayed! NOW IT ALL MAKES SENSE! That's not to say that I already didn't think the Oscars was always full of shit but now I who want to be an actor really lost all respect for it...

If you're too afraid to speak about it, that's one thing. But thanking him at your OSCAR speech makes you a perpetrator, not a victim.
  • And I always wondered what was so special about Jennifer Lawrence that she ended up having such successful career hmm

Everyone's favourite Jennifer Lawrence lol soooo "down to earth and not like typical Hollywood girls"

To all those asking "I wonder who else at the top is doing this? Weinstein can't be the only one." The video is perfectly edited for you to start that list without outrightly accusing them. Weinstein hints at the people at the end of the video. When you edit films/videos, like myself, every detail counts. I thought it was weird to end the video like that, but I realized that it had a purpose. Great job, Washington Post.
