This is a rock and roll band gentlemen. This is what music is suppose to be about. Especially rock and roll. It’s what a band of individuals ooze out when they get together and make magic from a lyric, a riff, or drum beat. It’s organic.

Anybody remember music? I do. Its right here. Has been for decades now. Not sure what is passing for music these days but it bares little resemblance. Thank you fellas for this great album.

I can't believe I didn't tell my friends to fuck off when I played this in high school and they said "what the fuck is this, gospel?" They were really into Black Sabbath at the time. Sabbath is amazing, but what they (and I) didn't realize is that I had already listened to Sabbath and Zeppelin and a lot of music beyond their scope at the time (jazz, classical, bluegrass, roots country, delta blues, gospel, etc.) already. If you can't appreciate this beautiful southern harmony and its influences you're probably missing something in your appreciation of music in general. Fifteen years later I'm only still friends with one of them and we still share music.

Marc Ford...one of the best guitarists nobody talks about. Love this album. Top 10

This song popped in my head today and I just got done listening to the first album!! I forgot how much I loved the album!!! I remembered every lyric and even cried a little.

Black crowed are the right mix of southern fried, little bluesy. Fucking awesome. Dr them in concert. They r unbelievable!!!

This is in my top 10 of favorite albums. One of those start to finish that you can just sit back with a bourbon and coke and listen all the way with no skipping the needle😊
