Combining Aloe Vera gel and Jamaican Black Castor Oil is an excellent treatment to boost natural hair growth and add volume. It also calms an aggravated scalp and treats issues like dandruff, dry scalp, and product buildup. I've been using fresh aloe for a year now and it's made a huge difference in transforming my dry, frizzy hair to moisturized curls. If you're struggling with hair fallout, dryness, thinning, or slow growth, try this simple do-it-yourself mask for a week or two and see the results for yourself :)

I used fresh aloe today for the first time in my hair as a pre poo also something I’ve never done and I mean wow 😳 my hair is much softer and more manageable. My edges used to be rough after that they laid down with no product. I’m so happy to have finally tried it I recommend everyone to give it a try.
  • Natasha, your hair is gorgeous! Quick tip on using fresh aloe Vera. You have to soak the pieces in water overnight to get the toxins out. You will see some yellow junk seep out in the morning. Wash the junk off, then you can apply aloe gel to hair safely.

  • Thank you for this. I’m 28 and still learning how to properly care for my curls. I hope this helps. I’m going to give it a try asap 🌹✨

To everyone commenting about buying aloe at the store: that size leaf is from a very mature plant. Most stores such as Lowe’s and Home Depot do not sell plants that big and if they did they wouldn’t cost less than $40.00. The smaller plants sold would take at lest 5 years to get that big. Not sure how often she does this but it’s cheaper to buy one leaf then a cup of coffee.

I have 4c hair, dense ans coarse. I use aloe and black castor oil in the same way but I leave it in. It’s amazing!!! Makes my hair super soft and manageable. I also use it to retwist my hair and put it on my edges daily. I also rub it on my face then put an oil based serum on top of that. For my eczema dry skin, that’s all it needs!

I recommend growing aloe vera at home. They grow fast and multiply so you can save up on money and have aloe vera without running out. Also I love your hair girll
  • One important tip, always cut away from your face. When you were cutting the aloe vera, the knife was towards you. Just a precaution. You are so beautiful. Just be careful, always have the knife blade away from you. Love your video. Take care.😊
  • Great video. Two tips /suggestions. Scrape the aloe jelly off the leaf and blend it all in a blender first. You will get more of a foamy consistency aloe that is easier to apply to your hair and you get more aloe out of it. Second, I recommend using a cotton t-shirt as a towel after washing your hair instead of that turban towel. Cotton doesn't dry out your hair like towels do. You will find that your hair is less frizzy.

  • I've used aloe vera several times and I always get people asking me what I did to my hair

Buy an aloe plants leave it alone for 2 months and it will grow and make more plants (puppies) that will grow. You can save a lot of money that way. I have 4 plants that are huge after 1 year and I rotate them so I never have to buy aloe. I just gave 3 away because they make puppies so fast.
