As a very young kid I watched this on a Saturday Morning in England. All I remember is loads of logs and nothing much else
-
I remember watching the Magical world of Disney then Beachcombers with my grandma. Wish for a few of those days back!

Watched this as a child in Australia. Brilliant!

These are the years when cbc had great television shows. I really miss those days.
-
I grew up watching this as a kid in Nova Scotia. Moved to British Columbia 23 years ago, actually lived on my sailboat not far from where this was filmed before I bought my house.
-
Wow wow wowπ³, I used to watch this every evening right before the Muppet Show back in Jamaica, man memoriesππΎππππΎ.Be Safe;-).

This is the show that made my mom move from Yellowknife to Vancouver in 1979. She couldn't believe Canada had that much beauty in it and decided to move there to find out for herself and she did and loved it. Thanks to the only channel we ever got in Yellowknife at that time... The CBC.

New Zealand here... not heard this intro/outro for almost 40 years.

Greetings from Canada! When I was a kid, The Beachcombers aired on Sunday evenings. If I was hearing this theme song, I knew that my weekend was really over π« Not much time before I would be sent to bed. Then back to school Monday morning π And I had to walk MILES to school each day in the freeing snow π₯Ά Uphill all the way there and all the way back. Barefoot so I wouldn't wear out my shoes. And carrying a 30 pound backpack as well as my little brother π₯΅ Times were different back then π€ Our black & white TV was so old that you needed to shovel coal into the back to make it run. And coal was expensive! So The Beachcombers was one of the few shows we would watch πΊ π€₯ π

What a flashback. Growing up in the Detroit area, we always got CBC transmissions. The Beachcombers was a show I remember just as mush as any U.S. show. Great times to alive and young...

Sunday dinnertime mid-70s Canada. Remember when folks used to sit down together for dinner?
-
Back in the 80's someone started a UHF station (chan. 55) in Long Island , New York, USA. They must have been on a shoestring budget because all there programing (at least as far as I remember) was repetes, including this little gem of a series from north of the border. I would come home to my first apartment from my first full time job, pour a soda, and join my friends in Canada to relax. Good show, good times a more civilized world. Sometimes I still dream about ditching it all and trying to find a place like that to snuggle into. Thanks so much for posting!

There was nothing like watching this Sunday evenings. It was a ritual. Thanks for posting.

The folks who own the rights to this series really should release it on DVD. I'm absolutely sure it would be a moneymaker for them and it would satisfy a lot of fans.

Just hearing the intro brings back childhood memories of the mid 1970's and the Kraft food commercials. Still looking for that time machine but thank God we have good old Youtube.

1975 ~ simpler times. Great memories watching this show as a kid on my TV that had only two channels; CBC (channel 2) and CTV (channel 5).
