The courtroom is heating up in Young Thug's trial as opening statements are being presented on Monday. “Well, I told you to do that a week ago,” Judge Ural Glanville said showing his frustration after the defense admitted all slides were not submitted prior to opening statements beginning. Atlanta rapper Young Thug, born Jeffery Williams, faces multiple charges under Georgia’s RICO Act. Williams, believed to be the leader of the YSL collective, supposedly operated a “criminal street gang” from outside his residence. Williams faces eight charges in a 65-count indictment.

The Judge isn't supposed to ask the prosecution a question then answer it for them
  • @mr.b9722
First time I ever felt like the judge was working with the prosecution to put this man behind bars. This country has changed a lot
  • @HJW018
Funny how no matter the jurisdiction the playbook is the same for the prosecution. Be as sneaky as possible and hope the defendant has sloppy or ignorant representation. Never just prosecute based on the evidence, always try to be as underhanded as possible.

The prosecution clearly has no clue what she's talking about fumbling over her words, just spit it out..
  • @Tupac1524
This is one of the sneakiest prosecutions I have ever seen. Their whole case is a sham
  • This is why the people have a huge mistrust with the justice system. the judge should mistrial it and admonish the state at the very very least.
  • @brettstarks1846
This whole “trial” has been a clown show from the very start.
  • @ericthornton6687
Man you have got to grant the mistrial. This is unacceptable!!!!!!!!!!
  • @MindAltered
why's it sound like the prosecutor lady is repeating what someone is saying to her in a earpiece or something?😅 whys she taking so many random pauses in between her words
  • @janedoe6786
The judge is just bending over backwards to pleased the prosecutor over and over again

Listen, to be completely honest the state has handled this case completely and utterly unethically. However, we all know that you’re usually deemed guilty before being able to be proved innocent in our justice system. This judge denies EVERY MOTION, this should’ve been a mistrial long ago. Honestly, it’s absolutely it’s embarrassing for the prosecution/ the state and judge. It really is.
  • Incompetent. I have tried cases as a prosecutor and as a defense attorney. A motion in limine, means that a party asks for a ruling at the threshold of the trial. In other words, the parties ask the court to make a determination before the trial, in order to avoid irreversible prejudice from being injected into the record. The court made a ruling, at the threshold, and the state ignored that ruling. To make matters worse, the violation included a prior conviction, which is incredibly prejudicial. To make it worse, the violation also includes a pretrial order to disclose all demonstrative aids the State intended to use in opening, more than a week prior to trial. This is an embarrassment. The State is either grossly incompetent or deviously unethical. 100% unnaceptable. The defense has already been denied effective counsel, through no fault of the defense attorneys. The mistrial should have been granted.

"I havent given them everything" even when so ordered by the judge pre-trial just wow.
  • @ImMichelle93
They deserve a mistrial, what prosecution is doing is wrong. And they're not even good at playing dirty, they just suck all around.
