Yang Jungwon. I’ll start by talking about your musicality, more specifically, your voice. It’s unrelated to the technicality or abilities that you have, but rather the rarity of your vocal tone. It’s that stunning, husky, resounding characteristic that completely isolates your voice from any others I’ve ever heard. The way you annunciate your words and just automatically know how and when to stress intonation makes your voice beyond charming. Your voice always sounds exactly as it does in the studio version of your songs, if not better, and that is truly most astounding. As dream-like as your voice is, you are just as fluent of a dancer. Your vigor is vastly present in every choreography and every moment you dance. It’s as if you don’t need to train on the finer movements in your choreography, but you just innately know to smooth them out for a more solid performance. To quote an Engene I once saw make this statement, it looks as if you are floating on air when you dance. Overall, as an artist of only two years, you sure have initialized quite the revolution in the way we perceive music and dance today. You are the sole embodiment of the art of performance, and it’s clear from the level you are at now, that you were just born with it. As much as I love your musicality, I love your personality all the same. One of the first traits I noticed you possess is that you are high-spirited. Even when you are feeling a bit weary, you don’t lose your signature smile and always keep your head up. You are also blatantly courageous. When you are nervous, or timid, or trying what you never have before, you don’t back down from it. You’re beyond humble and there are several instances of your actions and words that confirm this. Most notably to me, you are undeniably entertaining. You are unexpectedly funny, always teasing and poking fun of others at the wittiest of times. Above all, you are selfless and most affectionate to those who you love the most. I know your members can attest to this the most. You praise them all for their own goals and hobbies and show such interest in the many different aspects of their lives. You listen so attentively when they speak and you know so much about them. They can completely be themselves around you, and vice versa. If a member isn’t confident or becomes critical about themselves in any way, you find a way to make them see the ways in which those areas flatter and compliment the group as a whole. You are the very heart of Enhypen, and I know they look to you as a role model in every way. What I also love about your relationship with your members is that you lean on them just as much as they do you. It is just who you are to ensure your members’ happiness and satisfaction is prioritized. I heard a saying that a team is only as good as their leader, and because you put your heart and soul into Enhypen, your genuine intentions for the group’s success are being recognized and awarded to you. I know you will raise them well and they will evolve into the people they are always meant to be. You will always be their brother; their family. Thank you for changing your members lives for the better, and for being responsible for some of the greatest memories that shape who they are. I want to personally thank your parents and family for raising you and bringing you into the world in the way that they have. I know you want to repay them and give back to them all that they have to make your dreams a reality. I urge you to look to your family and lean on them when you need them. There is no battle you fight that will be too overpowering that your family can’t help you with, or help you win altogether. They know you, understand you, and can support you in ways that I know we can’t, so remember to continue to always put them first! Even if you feel you’ve come up short or made a mistake, your parents are proud of you either way as they just want you to be who you are. I know they will always love you and you honor them with every step that you take along your journey. As Engene, we keep them in our hearts and long to become charitably cognizant of those around us; studious and driven toward or work, school, and goals; and harbor the love and teachings of those of whom provided us with an upbringing. Jungwon, we’ve spent a lot of time together and it truly is wondrous that we are able to find solace from each other when Enhypen has never really gotten the chance to meet their fans in person without some type of regulation. You are our beacon of hope and always help us to rise above any struggles. Perhaps the most touching of the countless ways you make it known that you’re always here with us is the frequency in which you share your condition with Engene. You speak with us on a regular basis and are curious about how we spent our day as well. This might not amount to much to you, but I know that several more Engene would feel alone if not for you. I know there’s a lot of work going into what you do for us that we don’t even know about, and all Engene can do is acknowledge that and profess our deepest gratitude for you. We don’t want you to ever think you have to do anything more for us because you alone is enough for our days together to be rich, worthy, and full of meaningful adventures together. I cannot wait to make more memories with you and overcome what lies ahead together. I hope we take care of you in the same you do for us, and we will become more dependable and loving for you in the future. Thank you for helping us become better people and for allowing us to become a part of your heart. I know you have been through a lot, both personally and professionally. My heart just breaks when I hear about what you and your members have had to go through to become Enhypen, even though that’s just a part of life and obtaining what you set your sights on.. I look at your luminous, dimple-creased smile and sometimes forget that behind it lies a moving story of blood, sweat, and tears. All of this, with more to come, and yet you’re still one of the most liberated and jubilated people that I’ve come to know and love. On behalf of all of your loved ones, we are so proud of you for coming so far already and braving through the many storms you’ve faced. You rely on the people around to help carry some of the weight, as well as focus on your own state of mind to tackle any issues that arise. You teach us not to think so lowly in ourselves and to have confidence that we’re deserving of more than what we may perceive. This mentality that you keep and the productive outlook of yours that you follow is noticeably mature of you, especially at your age. I know that no matter what happens in the future, you will make it our on the other side no matter how long it takes. I hope that this birthday makes all of your dreams come true and that you get to try all that you’ve ever wanted to. If you ever question your position as a musician, a member of Enhypen, or the decisions you’ve made to get where you are today, I hope you look to your Engene to know that you are in the right place and have done exactly what you needed to! Without you, Enhypen and Engene don’t exist, and I hope you see the purpose behind all that you’ve been through. You deserve to praise yourself for doing what many can’t say they have, which is never giving up on yourself to reach your dreams. To do what you’ve done at your age deserves to be commemorated, and Engene are banding together to celebrate you every day, but especially on your special day! I hope that those around you also to know how inspiring, motivational, encouraging, friendly, hard-working, loyal, dedicated, and loving you are to us and others. You are bursting with life and I know the world will continue to become a better place and you guide today’s society to be a more loving era. With all of this said, I hope that you never feel pressure to change and don’t let the noise around you make you feel like you have to be anybody that you’re not.
