Today we’re attempting to make some Japanese aesthetic sandwiches! Safiya and I have seen these all over our Youtube homepage in the form of delicious looking thumbnails, and we figured we should try to make some of our own at home. We’ll be making three different sandwiches - 2 sweet and 1 savory: a strawberry & cream, a fruit flower, and an egg sandwich! It’ll be hard for us to go wrong taste-wise, but how GOOD can we get them to look? Can we match those eye catching thumbnails? We'll have to find out!
ps - we did have some technical difficulties with our audio during our second sandwich - it sounds a little tin-y, so if you notice it, it's not just you! sorry about that!

HELLO and welcome to this video! What do you guys think about our ~aesthetic sandwiches~? While the whipped cream sandos were pretty, the egg salad one might have been my favorite - the chives were a complete X-factor (although I still maintain that some celery could have taken the sandwich to the next level). So I think it’s fair to say that, like Saf… I like eggs. PS - we had some technical difficulties with our audio during the second sandwich. It ended up sounding a little tin-y, so if you notice it, it’s not just you! Sorry about that!

NO ONE can say that there aren’t chives on that egg sandwich 🤑

In Cosmo's defense, a cardboard box that smells like food is the ultimate kitty bait.
-
Cosmo is not ruining every shot, he's enhancing them!!

Reviewing the footage of the sandwich being wrapped Just for it to have been placed exactly as it started was pure gold 😂
-
i secretly always wanted to learn how to make the lil flower sandwich so this is perf

Karly’s off camera realization with the de vil reference deserves an Oscar 😂

I was almost worried that you were overwhipping that cream until it was sweet butter. FYI if you want that true Sando Whipped Cream, use powdered sugar (which has corn starch) instead of granulated sugar for something with their level of "mortar" consistency. If you don't care as much about flavor & want it lily white, stop there but if you want delicious whipped cream add a tiny bit of vanilla.

I love how unironically Tyler's channel has just turned into a weird cooking channel ❤

tyler and safiya struggled so hard to math and review the footage when they could've just rewinded to the first frame to compare how the sandwich looked since the bread slices aren't perfectly symmetrical 😂
-
These two have eaten so many weird things, they deserve bread, whipped cream and strawberries, which is like the delicious epitome of food combinations.

Chives are the glitter of the culinary world. They add magic to any dish, and you can’t get them off your fingers.
-
I love tyler talking about opening the milk carton fully the square way

egg salad pro tip from my grandma: remove the yolk from your hard boiled egg & mix the yolks with the mayo and seasoning, then chop up your egg whites and add them back into the yolk mixture for the perfect texture

One thing I love about Saf and Tyler's relationship? They maintain a balance of teasing and cuteness, and they each get their own screen time. They aren't portrayed as a model couple, or one with one person on a pedestal while the other is just the camera person. They're a normal couple trying out things together. Love it!

Let’s hear it for Cosmo’s debut on a video on the channel!!🎉👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🎉

Begging y’all to do a video where you try making cat treats for little prince Cosmo

I love that Tyler had the confidence that he could wrap his entire mouth around a carton but was intimidated by the orange 😂

The “wings” on the juicy juice were actually so kids can hold their drink without squeezing it and shooting it everywhere, I learned that just recently!

tip for peeling kiwis, use a spoon next time :) put the spoon in between the skin and flesh and then just spin the spoon until you've made it all the way around the kiwi
