My list of the most influential rap songs of the 1990s is my personal opinion (1990-1999). If you disagree with my list, comment down below your own top rap songs of the 1990s and also let me know what Hip-Hop video you want to see next!

The 1990s, commonly referred to the Golden Era of rap, was arguably the most impactful decade of rap as Hip-Hop started to become mainstream music. For many "old heads" the 90s is Hip-Hop at its purest- and also contains songs from some of the most prolific MCs the Hip-Hop community would ever know.

And almost a third of them are produced by Dr.Dre. That man has given so much to the genre.
  • @jayr155
Wu-Tang Clan's "C.R.E.A.M." deserved the first spot, I wish that this generation's rappers put on hard work like this!

β€œMy mind is playin tricks on me” was the best when I was younger and still remember it.
  • Imagine the game today, if Eazy E, Tupac, Nate Dogg, Biggie ETC were still around. Feel like the game would be different.

From my perspective - Hit em up, Changes, Hypnotise and Ready or Not had the greatest impact as they launched rap out of a sub-culture into the main stream.
  • Dre and Wu tang were the most influential hiphop figure even outside america.
  • @Little-Sparrow
Can't fault your choices dude! Every rapper on this list deserve to be there.πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’― Harder choosing which of their tracks to use I'd think! Great list!
  • Aww yes, back when bars and variety mattered. πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

Back when sounding like any one had you called out and career ended instantly! When bars were first and foremost the most important part of the track! Thank God for Griselda and Roc Marciano bringing back the essence of Hip Hop

Cream will always be a very influential song in our lives
  • @jonmichael3280
I get the list is subjective but I'm surprised Souls of Mischief "93 til infinity" wasn't on there! I think "Sally got a one track mind" by Diamond D should get some love too!
  • @RobertERosado
Surprised not to see Dead Presidents on the list. It reached 50 on the bill board top 100 and reached #4 on the Rap Songs. And certified Gold. Also kicked off a decades long beef that produced some of the greatest diss tracks in hip hop history.
