"Putting in a contact case is a great solution" BEST UNINTENDED PUN EVER.
  • I was a flight attendant for over 38 years and have traveled all over the world. This video gave some great ideas, and I learned some new things. Thanks.

I REALLY liked this lady! She had a low toned voice and she got to the point right away; most go yak yak yak before even coming close to getting to the point!!!!

I prefer to bring 4 suitcases and flex on my friends with a new outfit each meal of the day.

Guys, this is NOT supposed for a holiday at the beach and not about looking sweet. It’s more for an adventure-trip and always being warm and dry. So STOP hating. Ehdjkgkf.

i like that she actually packed less stuff instesd of the classic "how to pack light but its actually just using vacuum bags instead of minimizing"

It might’ve been mentioned already, but one trick I always do is to wear the biggest pair of shoes on the flight/trip. Large shoes esp guy’s hightop boots or sneakers take up a ton of space in your bag.

Pack the smaller shoes in your bag instead.

What about laptop, camera, chargers, extra batteries etc??????

Looks more like for a week, not three weeks trip

  • I'm an opera singer and I manage to go on 10 days concert/auditions trip (with concert clothes and scores!!!) with only a bag about this size, saving so much time and back pain!!!!

To people who want to pack light for winter time trips- invest in a good jacket so you don’t need such thick under layers. Also, thermal shirts. They are absolutely wonderful. Denim is heavy, so unless you plan wearing your jeans multiple days, pack other pants made of other materials. Also, at night, hang the clothes you wore in a well ventilated area. This way, they won’t smell so bad and you can prolong their use before the next wash.

People in these comments are making “ packing light” into some kind of competition. Packing is personal, stop telling people what they need or don’t need to pack for their OWN personal use. What’s it to you anyway? I consider myself a light packer, but I personally would just bring a small carry on for 3 weeks trip because am not taking time to do laundry 3 or 4 times. And I would like to have some space to put souvenirs. She could have packed all that in a small carry on and be just as light and carefree in my opinion. She CHOSE a backpack which is cool. Again, whatever works for YOU.

The most important thing to remember is that packing for a three-week trip should be almost identical to packing for a one-week trip. The only difference may be the quantity of consumables like conditioner or deodorant. Go for solid options where you can. Solid cologne, soap, shampoo, and so on take up far less space and can last for months

I’d like to see someone do this with either a cold climate or someone who wears much larger clothes. Larger clothes take more room because there is literally more fabric. And a cold climate means more clothes.
  • I don't think it's a good idea to stuff your underwear in your shoes.
  • @artifach
"...'cause you're always gonna be wearing something... hopefully." 😂😂😂😂😂

wow this is even more stuff than I'd normally pack so I really appreciate the visual walkthrough and I thought the little outfit burritos were super good. Thanks a lot!

The one burrito = one outfit idea is amazing!
I'd suggest investing in an ultra light umbrella and always having some plastic bags (used clothes/dirty shoes) with you.
Also keep liquids in a seperate 1 litre zip-bag when you are flying.
