Being down on your luck and using public lands to get your act together is one thing , trashing the place is bad , but then torching vehicles is just evil
  • @bogwin9621
I have lived professionally homeless for years. I did not litter. I just took out the trash. I’m very thankful for the work that you did. Got me a home now. I’m still not littering. I think a piece of garbage is gold because when I remove it the place is forever that much better.
  • My mom and dad went through the great depression and their camp and all the others were kept spotless, even sweeping the dirt floors. They had respect for themselves and others.
  • Time to restock air fittings and easy outs. 👍 thanks to you and everyone who is helping clean up the forest.
  • Everybody did an awesome job , thank you Casey and thank you to everybody that had a hand in the clean up. I am glad that you was able to get the air tank fitting repaired. I am looking forward to the next video 👍💯
  • It's always nice to have friends who will help you out no matter where you are or how bad it is. Nice work Casey and friends. These homeless camps are nothing new. 100 years ago, at the beginning of the great depression, they were called "Hoovervilles" after the president of the time.

AWESOME JOB! Poor Casey your day was just one of those days that things didnt go so smooth as they could but no major disasters, no one hurt, & job got done. AWESOME! THANK YOU & TO EVERYONE THAT TOOK THEIR TIME, & EQUIPMENT TO GO CLEAN UP THE FOREST! Be Safe! Keep Your Head Up! 👍

I love the way you talk to us as you work on things, you are so real and that is really refreshing. Thank You.

That's just sad & disgusting. People have no respect for anything including themselves these days. It makes me angry 😡 thanks Casey & the entire crew for restoring the forest.

It's disheartening to see the level of damage and garbage that these people are doing to the public lands, but the group that's out there hauling all these Junkers off are truly the heroes we all need. I only wish that I wasn't so busy trying to get my RV back into a trip ready status and that you weren't 8 hours away - I still want to try to come down there for one of the cleanups later this year - just because!

Now that I am retired I am hoping to be able to do some camping/travel in the western states. I would like to be able to spend time in National Forest and BLM land, but I don't want to have to be surrounded by trash piles from homeless camps. I appreciate the work you guys are doing. It looks like a never ending battle to clean up after the people who make all the trash. I hope there are ways to avoid the trash piles. My backpacking experience was always on the basis of "Pack out your trash and leave campsites better than you found them". I'm too old for hard core backpacking, but the rule should still hold.
  • @atcr1der303
Quick on the fly thinking! I use a similar line myself... Don't let the truck outsmart you! Always fun seeing how others fix issues to keep working, great job to keep the flow going I'd say! Always good having backup to assist when needed, too... When they are good buddies to talk crap back and forth it's even better 😂 Btw thank you very much for all the work you do, and sharing getting more people out to help! Awesome stuff
  • I worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation when I was in engineering school and was assigned to cleaning rest areas along I-70 (a delightful use of my engineering skills) and I was absolutely astounded at some of the traveling public and their total disregard for public facilities and property. This was in the late 1960's and the interstate I was working was less than 2 years old. People cleaned out their stock trailers, vans, or cars and just left the trash laying in the parking lots. And this was in the 60's!! I see not much has changed. The rest rooms and picnic areas that were built as part of the highway construction were first class. The only bright side was that if I caught someone in the act of doing bad things, all I had to do was write up an incident report with a description of the vehicle, license plate, VIN number, and a narrative of what was done. Had to be careful since some of the motoring public were psycho even back then. Their reward was that the highway patrol would either pull them over further down the road and write them up or they would receive a summons in the mail or in person at their current location. Did not get them all but got a lot. I still had to pick up and remove a whole lot of bad things.
  • @walthanas
That sounds like a typical case of "no good deed goes unpunished"! Great that you put so much effort (and cost) into a volunteer activity that you clearly care about!
  • Thank you Casey and friends for all you do on these cleanups. Just saddens my heart to see this destruction of our beautiful lands by us humans. I am so ashamed. Thanks for the videos!
  • Amazing work Casey, and great job to everyone involved in this great clean up. It is truly sickening to see the mess those people are making and the fact that they just move on and leave all that trash. It is truly sad that they can't be made to be accountable for the mess they've left behind. Nature should be enjoyed by everyone and not destroyed by the few.
  • Unreal, Casey. When I think of Oregon (never been), I picture nothing but pristine. This absolutely breaks my heart, but thank God for folk like you who are willing to give of your time and resources to clean up such a mess. I just don't get people who do shit like this....I just don't. THANK you, and all others who do their part to protect and preserve nature.
  • Wow, 37 vehicles….great job to all. And having a good friend like Jeremy and others involved, that fully understand the cost of volunteering as you have must really help. I hope I can find a like minded group here in my area to join!!
