I'm so happy you included Isla animals. I adopted a puppy from there and I'm flying this Sunday to Isla Mujeres to pick her up and bring her home ( Montreal, Canada) :)

I was there 23 yrs ago backpacking with friends...the adventure of my life! So many fun amazing memories! I met my boo on this adventure and we're still together...we found each other...I found my soulmate. Now 23 yrs forward, living in Cali, raised 2 beautiful girls, lived in Italy at the beginning but came back to the US for citizenship and legal reasons...so much has happened but can't wait to begin traveling again or just retiring and live a simple life...when our young one is ready to fly on her own, I hope we can go and spread our wings again, go wherever the wind takes us...life is too short...nature is healing...there's so much more to life than the 5 to 9 grind...I love that you guys are living it up! You don't need a lot of money to have amazing experiences and meet wonderful people...if you are good and mean well...destiny will take care of you...i hope our paths cross one day...wish you all the best and may it last forever!!!
  • I really love that you included tips in this vlog for giving back to the local community as well as how to be safe and respectful. It is something I feel like a lot of people on vacation seem to forget. It was lots of fun following you around the the island for the day and the food looked delicious!!!! Thank you 🙏 can’t wait to see what’s next! Any hints?

Thank you very much for the Isla animal plug. My wife and I live in Florida and also have an apartment on the island. We try to find homes and transport dogs back to the states every month from Isla animals. Spreading the word is important - thanks
  • @cathyplatin3906
P.S. I really appreciate all you shared about being socially conscious and giving back to the community! That is an element that many vloggers don’t seem to care about. You are special people! Thanks...
  • How cool to be able to feel the history at the Mayan temple and that snorkel spot is great!
  • @blasterman56
Y'all are so entertaining and informative at the same time. If you could bottle and sell your personalities, you could make millions. I am headed to Isla in one month and you have already made my trip better.
  • @ElplebeTex
You guys are awesome, I’m Mexican and I’m learning so much more about my own country through you guys!!!
  • @alidalittle491

I LOVE you guys! You have raised the bar ... Now, when I watch other traveling videos , I find no interest whatsoever... You give detailed advice, you have respect both for my culture and my country , you care about animals ... You are fun and adventure altogether 💕✈🇲🇽🙋🏻‍♀️
  • Wow!! This is the best travel guide! Also one of your best videos!! Happy to see you guys growing. Keep it going!!
  • @janeth6255

  • @Kimtomaska
You both have some of the best travel vlogs ever. I am an Isla mujeres regular and I’m trying to take my dad on a trip here, and your video has the best overall visual and verbal description of what it’s like to be there. FYI I watch all of your other vlogs too. Amazing job!
  • ALSO! Visiting the puppies is so nice of you guys, many people don't care about animals but I'm so glad you guys did this! Definitely sharing this so people can check your content out, it's just SO GOOD!!!

Seven of us from the University of Colorado drove from Boulder to McAllen, Texas - a journey that began my love affair with Mexico. From McAllen we crossed into Mexico where we caught a plane to Merida and made our way to a true island paradise. In 1968, encouraged by an article in National Geographic, we spent Spring Break on Isla de Mujeres. Back then the island was untouched by developers. Rustic would be the most accurate word to describe Isla de Mujeres back then. The island’s surrounding waters were a national park - perfect for the scuba diving adventure of a lifetime. I enjoyed The Country Collectors video but I probably won’t be returning to Isla de Mujeres. It has disappeared but my memories of it have not.
  • I watched your video from my home where it's 92 degrees outside and there's a heat advisory, so I really appreciated the sight of all that gorgeous cooling water. The snorkeling looked so inviting! Now I'm craving a sweet, cool mango. Thanks, guys! So glad you're back to travelling and creating these fun and informative videos. Hasta la vista!
