Pumpkin Preservation Spray: Combine 2 cups water with 2 T baking soda and 1 t tea tree oil. Stir to combine, then transfer to a spray bottle. Spray pumpkin daily.

Thanx so much for this. First time doing pump in over 25 yrs, I had forgotten about the rot, mold, and the flies. LOL,, I even bought my P Sept 28, was going to carve it, and sorta hoped it would last till H. Ha HA, was I in for a surprise. I will do like someone mentioned above. Blch soak, soda inside, and T-Tree oil outside & edges.
