It's not predicting the future, it's telling us what they're planning to do!

I swear The Simpsons have been on since I was a teenager and I'm 49. I never thought they'd still be on.

"Predictions" is wishful thinking, more like planned events coming to fruition. They have to tell us their plan before they execute it.
  • Simpsons and Futurama are written by the same people, so Matt Greoning had a hand in almost all of these.

After living through the Covid Pandemic, The Simpsons Movie felt especially prophetic when it depicted Springfield falling under quarantine and suffering supply shortages and cabin fever.

I just recently watched a Simpson episode where Lisa says “apparently we are the show that predicts the future” 😂

In the Simpsons episode, they go to New York and the catalog says 9$ with the two towers beside it reading 9-11, really blew my mind.

I swear the writers of the Simpsons must've stumbled upon every big scandal, conspiracy, and corrupt cabal by accident, got bribed/threatened to keep quiet about it, but couldn't help themselves and wrote it into their stories to try to warn people about what they couldn't tell us explicitly.
  • In my favorite series Teen Wolf stiles ans his dad have a saying "once is an incident, twice is a coincidence and three times is a pattern" i feel like it applies to this video

The one that kind of got me a bit more was the 1919 comic with the cell phone, since the telephone had only been invented in 1876, so them predicting that one day we would have actual mobile phones is pretty cool! But the one with Lisa predicting football game winners was also pretty amazing!
  • This video should have been titled "Shockingly Accurate Predictions from Cartoons but mostly The Simpsons". It is pretty surprising on how many predictions that show actually nailed.

Apparently, the evil dragon was actually destroying Lahaina Hawaii.

The Simpsons creators or story writers must have known somethings we don't.

One time Homer was talking about the 10 Commandments. Regarding “ Honor your father and your mother “, Homer said “ The Bible said HONOR. It didn’t say anything about LIKING them”!!!!!!!!!!!! To me, that was a revelation!

Theres a Simpson episode from 30 years ago that references several big news stories we've seen this year. Its kinda freaky.

I don't believe the Simpsons is predicting the future I believe the creator is getting tips from the higher-ups to make episodes of things they plan to do.. The Simpsons creates a episode then the people who sent him the ideas make the things.

Lol anyone else imagine that Matt Groening has a clairvoyant just trapped in a tower somewhere and trades predictions for food and stuff?

I always called it "Toys Ya Us" because the Cyrillic letter "Я" is pronounced "ya." For instance the name Anya would be spelled Аня.

Kobe had a Helicopter crash in the Simpsons, but didn’t die. He was holding his trophies. I remember watching it an old Episode
