radio: talking about feelings of worthlessness mark: ᶦˢ ᶦᵗ ᵇᵉᵃⁿ ᵈᵃʸˀ
  • "You feel absolutely worthless because everyone around you has a better life. And that's why we're here to help." Mark: "IS IT BEAN DAY??"

You know, a bunch of youtubers played this game but I never saw the ending because they were all silent in focusing on it, but Mark, he was entertaining and didn't do all the things other people did to solve the puzzles. He really kept me interested and the game did too. It's like, in the beginning I was in my mind telling him what to do based on the other walkthroughs that I have seen, however, he solved it in another way and I was like: Whaaaaat? That isn't how you solve it, but it worked, and that's part of perspective, we saw something or did something someway and we told ourselves that that is the only way to do it, but not Mark. I know he probably won't see this and I doubt anyone else will but this was funny and entertaining and it was really awesome watching him do things in his own way that no one else had done and he kept me along for the ride. So thank you Markiplier, thank you for keeping me until the end of a game so I didn't miss the message.
  • I find it ironic that the first game for mark to fully play after unus annus dies is about bending reality’s laws

I just finished playing this yesterday, this game simultaneously soothes you, offers an existential crisis, and then brings a level of catharsis I didn't expect at all.

40:49 Now that I'm rewatching with symbolism in mind, I really like this bit. After trying multiple times, walking foward doesn't seem to be working, so trying a different way and walking sideways shows you a new path. The path forces you to be careful and take your time with it's sudden turns, then just before you reach the end it stops you in your tracks with a big "NO" sign on the planks. Since the room is dark, it's hard to tell where the edge is, but it looks like it could be close, so you just gotta take a leap of faith and oh look you made it, great!

This game is like the love child of Portal and Stanley's Parable who is really into perspective

This reminds me quite a bit of the time I spent in the mental hospital. The doctors there were very vague about our treatments and what meds we were being given. Granted, this was a mental hospital. The meds they were giving most in my unit (including myself) were sedatives, that would sit in our systems throughout the day acting as distressing high. It most definitely didn't help with my dissociation, that's for sure. This game is strikingly similar to most of the dreams I've had since my experience at the hospital, it feels so much like them.

I’ve come back and watched this video 8 times, this is my comfort video. I love this place, this game, and no matter where I am, this calms me. It’s familiar, and safe. Thank y’all, Mark, the commenters, all of you. Wish y’all well, God bless.
  • “Well fiddle dee dee, and fiddle my dingo.” Me: ”I found my senior quote.”
  • @camrynluna.
Mark: Mentions Tiny Box Tim Man, it’s amazing how far we’ve really come and he still makes the smallest references back to the beginning.

Whoever acted for Dr. Glenn, he sounds and is so fucking inspirational.
  • 6:14 Upon closer inspection of the alarm clocks in game, I found a cool Easter egg. The numbers 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, and 42, can be found on 6 different alarm clocks going left to right. (In this frame you can see 8, 15, 23, and 42). This is a reference to the show Lost. Pretty nifty I would say

This entire game's energy is 'wandering through a really obscure art gallery, getting lost, ending up in some art form of the back rooms, getting un lost, and then continuing to look at art'

Can’t believe both Seán and mark had an emotional attachment to soda
  • @ShinySahil
25:43 happy to see him able to joke about a traumatic event, it shows growth
  • 1:08:01 "I think a cardboard dildo would be very painful." Markiplier out here saying what we're all thinking but too afraid to say
