Red Notice was Netflix’s most expensive movie to date, and also (apparently) their biggest opening ever. With massive stars Ryan Reynolds, Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot just kind of doing their thing-- it’s no wonder why so many people clicked “play.”

Red Notice definitely raises some questions though. Like was this movie sold on name recognition alone? Why did Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot’s characters even involve Ryan Reynolds in the whole first part of the plan if they just needed the third egg’s location from him? How did they know they’d end up in the same jail cell as him? Why is prison so easy to break out from? How is that 80-year-old vehicle still running, and why is there a waterfall here?

To answer all these questions and more, step inside the Pitch Meeting that led to Red Notice! It’ll be super easy, barely an inconvenience.

I like that he doesn't even bother using character names, since it really doesn't matter for this film.

I think what I learned from this is that Gal Gadot doesn't own a stake in an alcoholic beverage company

I’ve heard that Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds meticulously prepared for these roles by actually living their own lives as themselves for more than forty-five years.

Having two “super easy, barely an inconvenience”'s in a single Pitch Meeting is TIGHT!

Dwayne Johnson has Jungles, Ryan Reynolds has witty one-liners, and Gal Gadot has decades old vehicles that somehow work despite having not been used.

"So what's the movie?" "Barely matters!" 😂😂
  • @kaego5798
Ryan, you forgot to mention how during the helicopter scene, the Russian police actually had an RPG and instead of first aiming at the helicopter, they aimed for Dwayne 😂

"Dwayne Johnson has that weird thing with jungles in all his contracts." I nearly spit up my drink laughing, because it's so true, every time I see him he's in another freaking jungle! xD
  • @redskullz1249
"....no." That delivery just killed me. Holy crap, someone make a movie with Ryan in it!
  • "What's his character's deal?" "Well, he's Ryan Reynolds." This accurately sums up what Ryan Reynolds has been doing ever since Deadpool.

Dwayne has jungle scenes in his contract adjacent to Tom Cruise and his running sequences 😭🤣🤣

“That’s not a twist, that’s a spin cycle.” Me: SpIn CyClEs ArE tIgHt!
  • "This isn't so much a twist ending as it is a... spin cycle." My man be hitting us with only the truest of facts.

“So wait if all they needed from Ryan Reynolds is the location of the third egg, couldn’t they have just followed him to that one instead of doing everything they did up to this point?” long pause …..”No.” NAILED IT!!! 😂
  • my reasoning for why ryan stayed in the room with the real egg: he literally talked about how he loves the attention and escaping so he just did it for his own amusement

The delay on the fourth "wow" was a masterpiece of modern cinema all by itself. Thanks for your effort in keeping "wow" fresh.

I love how he just called the characters by the actors' names the whole time. I mean I don't blame him, I just finished watching the movie and I don't remember the character names lol
  • @Bbeaucha88
Without a stitch of sarcasm I genuinely enjoyed this so much more than the actual movie.
